I had the pleasure to spend one month at the organization school. Albert and Patrick are amazing hosts who took care of me all the time really well. Also, I was able to connect to the teachers really well and learned a lot about the people living in Kyangwali and their culture. The kids are simply amazing. I was able to join teachers in classes and even teach some classes completed by myself. Overall, it was a really authentic experience I am super happy about. I will never forget this time and I am really grateful for this wonderful opportunity.

My time at the organization was both enriching and deeply impactful. the organization team is made up of dedicated individuals who pour their hearts into improving the lives of refugees in the settlement, a commitment that is evident every day. The impact you can have here is truly unique, and the gratitude you receive from both the team and the children is something that will stay with you for life. I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities the organization provides—a bedroom with a new mattress and mosquito net, nourishing meals three times a day, and if you're lucky even a sun-heated jerrycan shower.

The living conditions are rustic spartan but they have a room for volunteers with a good bed and a new matras and a detatched sanitary facility just for volunteers. Three meals a day are prepared with care for the volunteers and while it is not a Michelin star restaurant the food is certainly better than what the children and local staff get. It is adequate, wholesome and healthy. The children are amazing and it is by far the most intense, and on a personal level most rewarding experience ever. So much so that I extended my stay for another 2½ months, till the end of the term.

What a great but far too short experience! Together with a friend, I had the chance to join the organization team for a few days. Albert is an inspiring, honest, and genuine person with a fascinating story. He and the team made us feel so welcome. The school is in beautiful surroundings, and evening walks were a highlight. We joined the children's graduation ceremony, which was both fun and enriching. The kids were open and respectful. Freshly prepared meals and simple but comfortable accommodation with mosquito nets added to the experience. I wish Albert the best and highly recommend this project!

Kids and family in Kyangwali are amazing! I learned a lot from the interviews with parents of the students where they shared the challenges of living in the refugee camp ! Charles is incredible! Alongside of making sure I feel comfortable he taught me a lot about culture and culinary. If you really want to do an impact in people's life this is the place you should go! I would recommend bringing activities and materials prepared before hand. The kids love to be engaged in games , music and arts and craft!

My stay in Kyangwali was incredible, and the people, especially Charles, were phenomenal. Despite the difficult living conditions, their support helped me adapt. The school was in a beautiful rural area, and the children's joy and eagerness to learn were inspiring. The lack of resources was a major challenge, but any small help makes a big difference. I highly recommend this experience to anyone willing to help.

Dear Davide,

Thank you for the feedback; it’s great to hear from you again. Your points are well noted. I always plan for my volunteers, and we have many activities at the site. However, sometimes it can be challenging to fully understand a volunteer’s expectations.

Things in Africa differ from Europe, where everything is more readily available, but we are actively working on improving our system. We aim to develop more structured plans before accepting volunteers to ensure a smoother experience for everyone involved.

Thank you for your continued support.

Best regards,
Albert.

I spent almost a month in the organization. Maybe kyangwali is one of the hardest places to live, but everybody made me feel so good there. I felt part of the team. The kids are really lovely and spent with me all time playing, dancing... This is a place for feel the real Africa life and learn many things from them. I recommend go and meet the school. I will go back.

Volunteering at the organization proved to be an awe-inspiring experience. Given its remote location, I gained an invaluable, firsthand insight into the daily lives of these refugees. Albert and his team were super accommodating, and even went out of their way to make sure I got to the camp safely. The children's boundless energy and joy upon meeting me was heartwarming, as they warmly welcomed me with songs and poems. The work is really flexible, and I even had a chance to attend one of the refugee markets! Without hesitation, I wholeheartedly recommend this project to anyone interested in making a mean

Dear Leo,
It was great having you at our organization, we learnt a lot from your experiences, you copied up with the life in the refugee camp, you played with our kids at school which made them excited, our staff member appreciated your humility for sharing the local meal with them, thank you so much.
