I would recommend this volunteer to anyone who wants to experience the local culture, I had a great time with the other volunteers during our days off, the owners and staff were so welcoming and always kind to us, our working hours were always respected and we had amazing meals everyday, I want to personally thank Irine, she was an incredible host, I loved the experience and would love to go back.

Very grateful with Irini and all the staff, we were comfortable with our task and support that they gave us during all the volunteer. We had enough and awesome time to share with the others volunteers and rest in our days off, the working hours always were respected. The hotel is beautiful, spotless, with amazing views and close to the beach 🥰. The experience was fantastic, really kind people and I recommend to everyone!

Aphrodite Gardens is such a beautiful place, near to various beaches, not too far away from the city center and with a lot of hike options around. The food was deliciously prepared by the host and the accommodation was very cozy. The restaurant can be busy at times, so it's a place you can get a lot of experience from. The hosts are flexible and once you get to know them, it feels like home away from home. I thank all the volunteers and the team for the time and laughs shared. I wish everyone all the best and hope to see you guys very soon. XOXO

I had a really nice experience at Aphrodites the hotel. The accommodation is wonderful, a very nice place with lots of good food and fun. I felt very welcome and cared for. Himara is so beautiful, with beaches and mountains that you will have lots of time to explore. The hours are always respected and the work is never too hard. I would recommend having previous restaurant experience, because the serving shifts can get a little intense. But as long as you can handle that, you will have the best time!! Thank you for everything 💓💓

Disfruté y aprendi muchisimo en mi experiencia aquí. Eirini, Christos y las personas que trabajan en el lugar, siempre fueron muy amables conmigo. Nos enseñamos mutuamente sobre nuestras costumbres, idiomas y comidas. El lugar es cerca de la playa, hay muchos senderos para recorrer y lugares para conocer. La comida es riquísima y siempre puedes optar por opciones nutritivas. Mi rol fué como camarera. Recomiendo tener algo de experiencia para este puesto ya que es un ambiente dinámico y de ritmo acelerado. Pero de no ser así, tus compañeros voluntarios te enseñarán :) GRACIAS POR TODO ♡

I stayed here for the whole month of October. Even though Himarë is beautiful and the other volunteers were wonderful, I personally felt uncomfortable throughout my stay. The work environment often felt heavy and unpredictable, and certain behaviors and comments created a sense of unease that made it difficult for me to feel safe or relaxed. There were many moments where the atmosphere became stressful, and I constantly felt on edge rather than welcomed or supported. Because of this, my experience ended up being overwhelmingly negative, and I would not choose to repeat it.

This was my first experience with Worldpackers and I loved it! I met amazing people, explored beautiful Himare and got to spend many days at the beach. The work was nice and I learned a lot. The rooms were great and the food was delicious. Communication before the trip as well as the attitude in the kitchen could be better and improved. Overall I had a great experience in Himare and I am very thankful for it.

Mi tiempo en el hotel fue lleno de sorpresas, el lugar y los alrededores te ofrecen grandes amistades, comida en abundancia y poder disfrutar de sus hermosos paisajes, lo incómodo en mi experiencia fue ver un poco de descuido en nuestro baño personal (el techo estaba cubierto de moho y nunca se resolvió), y también presencié un trato inadecuado del anfitrion hacia las voluntarias y mi pareja generándole incomodidad y disgusto hacia el lugar.

The place has a lot of potential, sadly the host Spyros made my experience really uncomfortable. He made a lot of inappropriate comments and jokes about women and has a tendency to get angry and scold the volunteers. It didn't feel like a collaborative experience, but more like working a full-time job in a somewhat toxic work environment. I'm grateful for meeting some really sweet people in the volunteer team, and for the learning experience in mixology, but wouldn't go again.

Philia . you were a very good bartender and you did a great work behind the bar , but it's unfortunate to see only this side of your experience written . what you didn't mention is that several volunteers you shared a room with complained about inappropriate behavior with you and yosua while in the room. you also came to volunteer at the bar of the restaurant with a tank top and unshaved armpits something that is not appropriate for a hospitality setting.

I really enjoyed my time at the hotel&the hotel! The work was not as hard as I expected and really fun! The staff was very nice, although I felt incredibly objectified by the host Spyros while I was there. The tone and a lot of comments made to myself and a lot of the girls in my stay, I would consider harassment. I also felt like sometimes the work schedule could be better organised. The location is also not ideal, as its a bit far from the city center and the beach. I also think a common area for volunteers would be very welcome. But the food was always great and I had a great time in Himare!!
