My volunteer experience at the hostel was great! Clara provided me with detailed training. I felt ready and comfortable to work at reception on my own for my next shift. Typically, I worked 5 hours per day for five days. Clara, Michelle, Roger, Mauricio & Moises, and the rest of the team were wonderful; they took me in like family and supported me when I needed it. Working at reception was a terrific way to meet travelers and improve my Spanish. The team dorm is spacious, and I enjoyed spending time with the other volunteers. Thank you for a wonderful experience! 😊

The hostel was fantastic! Cris spent a few hours training me for reception and then oversaw my first shift. He was patient and wrote up check-in procedures for me to follow. My tasks were exactly as expected. Clara, Cris, Claudia, Roger, Mauricio, Moises and the rest of the team were really helpful and my Spanish improved a lot over the two weeks I was there. I worked for 5 hours 5 days a week with two consecutive days off which allowed me to visit more of beautiful Bolivia. The team dorm is well maintained and having access to the staff kitchen kept costs down. Thanks for everything :)

I had a lovely time volunteering in the breakfast shift at the hostel. Lucho and his brother Mauricio are so professional, nice and easy going, it makes the mornings fly by. Tasks are easy and they are flexible with the volunteers. Chris is a magnificent manager and he knows how to build a family among the volunteers. They made my time in La the hostel feel very special - I cannot wait to come back!

I very much enjoyed my time volunteering on reception at the hostel. Typically I worked five hours in the evening, five days per week. The hostel was flexible if I wanted to change my hours to do some activity instead. I enjoyed the opportunity to improve my Spanish talking with guests and staff, and to spend time with the other volunteers. All of the staff were very welcoming and nice and willing to help with anything. A special thanks to Cris who showed me the ropes of reception and was my first point of call during my time at the hostel.

Pasé solo una semana en el hostel y me habría quedado mucho más tiempo si hubiera podido. El equipo del hostal, como Chris, Claudia y Roger, así como los demás voluntarios con quienes compartimos la habitación, fueron geniales. Voy a extrañarlos a todos. Estuvimos haciendo producción de contenido para sus redes sociales. Fue una buena estancia, estuvimos muy bien! Ellos son flexibles y te dejan libertar para hacer tu trabajo. El ambiente del hostal es muy bueno y acogedor, con una zona común con pingpong, billar, mesas y un rinconcito para leer o relaxarse. Lo recomiendo si viajas al hostel o quieres hacer voluntariado. Gracias por todo!

I had a great time working with the team at the hostel and would recommend this experience to anyone planning to visit La the hostel. The team are super friendly and supportive and overall it was a great experience. Working at reception was a great way to meet a whole range of international travelers and I visited during Halloween which was a surreal experience. Lovely team and energy.
