Uma das melhores experiências da minha vida! Fiquei na casa do Clynton e sua esposa. Clynton coordena o projeto junto com John e que trabalho lindo. Praticamente todos os dias as crianças e adolescentes tem treino de futebol, todos muito dedicados em tornar uma realidade melhor para a comunidade! Além disso o projeto também disponibiliza alimentação diária para as crianças locais, isto é de extrema importância para todos! Minha experiência foi maravilhosa, amei todos do projeto, me senti muito segura. Experiência de vida maravilhosa! Amei muito todos! Gratidão ♥️

Minha experiência foi incrível. O projeto é muito importante para as crianças, jovens e famílias da comunidade. John, Clynton, Leah, Victor e outros ajudam inúmeras pessoas, fazem um trabalho admirável. O projeto não é só sobre formecer comida para as crianças ou ensinar futebol, é sobre ensinar valores, disciplina, respeito, confiança, etc. Fui muito bem recebida por todos do projeto, pelas crianças, pelas meninas e meninos da comunidade e por todas as pessoas que vivem em Ruiru. Passei dias maravilhosos no Kenya, fiz muitos amigo,com certeza foi uma das melhores experiências que já tive.

We were so much honoured to host Marinha, she was a perfect volunteer who walked with us through each stage throughout her volunteering time. We interacted well and our beneficiaries really liked her. She has been a joy around all the time.
To add on she has immensely contributed to the growth of our project with additional ideas and efforts towards further growth. We can love to host her again and again.

This project is having a real impact on its the organization, you can live a local experience in a close authentic way. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and very flexible with the tasks. The project keeps growing and taking shape and some things need to be clarified about what is described on the World Packers profile, so I would recommend contacting Clinton and having a plan before arriving to know exactly what to expect according to facilities and activities. I only hope the best for this project and all the people involved, and I'm looking to keep contributing to it even away from Kenya.

Doing a social project like this is amazing! In 2 weeks I get founds from family and friends posting social media content and then we start to build a the project kitchen and some rooms, so you can help in the way that you want, for me social media was my strongest area. So if you really want to create an impact for an African the project this is the place, but you need to be open to contribute in the way that you can help. Come here with ideas to help the kids in africa, because is not really very clear the things that say that you are going to do in Worldpackers. Hakuna Rahisi, peace and love.

After two months in africa, and three different projects in Tanzania and Kenya, this one by far was the best of all. Clinton, the host was amazing and available for every request, he provided everything he promised and even more in his own place. The project itself was great, and I felt it was really doing something and trying to move the project forward, the kids in the football teams were very social and committed to the program, the feeding program felt like it was doing a real difference in the area. In other projects were literally business to them, they took the money and that was it.

Its a wonderful experience and i can highly recommend for everyone who want to help children & experience kenya`s culture. Clinton and the coach are amazing human with a big heart. I lived with clinton and his wonderful girlfriend together. She cooked very good typical kenyan food. Vini, Clintion right hand, showed me the city and I found a really good friend in him. In general there is a lot to do. Every volunteer can helps in his own individual way. The vision is big. The people are good. Time will tell. Hakuna Matata.

Coming to Kenya was as great experience. The social project that Clinton and John run helps a lot of children from different ages with food, football, mentorship and scholarships. I could see the local comunity, had contact with the children and learned many aspects of the Kenyan culture. Clinton ans his wife Jane were very good hosts helping in anything necessary. I really recommend other travellers to go see and help the project. It is an experience that is truly worth it.

I spent a wonderful few weeks at the project. The whole program is really well run, providing local youths access to daily football training. But also running a feeding program and also funding educational support for kids from less-privileged backgrounds. The club is growing, ambitious and connected to the local the project. The coaches da great job, always expecting the best from the players, aiming to win every weekend, entertaining with a competitive mindset, and aiming high, with an upwards path in the lower leagues. Las condiciones en las que te tienen son mínimas, duermes en medio del salón en un colchón en el suelo, que está lleno de chinches, no tienes ningún tipo de intimidad El programa está 0 programado, tienes que pedir permiso siempre si quieres hacer algo y casi siempre te dicen que no, por lo tanto pasas todo la mañana en casa Son unos avariciosos con el dinero, siempre te están pidiendo dinero a ti y para que hables con tus amigos para que les mande dinero, si le das dinero para pagar las cosas el se queda la vuelta y no te lo devuelve Cuidado con comprar comida porque os la van a quitar

It was a terrible experience hosting Paula, she doesn't want to help in the project, she only wants to eat and travel around the city. When she is travelling she wants the host to take her and the host to pay for her travels around as well as pay out for her food in classic places.
She wanted the host to spend his money to take care of her and when the host refused she felt bad.
She wanted when the host buys snacks while in the city, she wanted the host to share with her so that she to eats them. And when she buys she doesn't want to share out.
She had no impact to our project, she was too lazy to move around in the project and also wanted to be taken care of like a baby.

Hosts Vitor and Musse were welcoming, but issues arose with the social project. Initially, a comprehensive plan was outlined, including feeding programs, soccer schools, scholarships, and menstrual aid. However, upon arrival, I discovered that the feeding program was run by an NGO, not part of the project. Similarly, the scholarship program was managed by the same NGO. Communication issues among soccer project leaders added to concerns. Realizing only the soccer project was part of the program I enrolled in, I left to find alternative ways to help in Kenya.
