I really loved staying here. Sylou was very kind and provided delicious food! If I were to give any warnings before coming here, is that the work is a bit tiring. A lot of reviews say that it is peaceful there, but the restaurant work could get very busy. I had fun meeting locals and practicing my french! It was SO nice spending time with you Sylou ahaha!

The experience in the restaurant was amazing! I spent one month there and for sure I'm gonna miss this place. Sylou was very warm and she was always attentive to how we felt during the volunteer work. The surroundings are peaceful, but for sure the work in the restaurant is busy, so you need to be very proactive during your time there. Sylou is always open to dialogue and to make your stay very enjoyable. Bedrooms was 5 stars, you have you own space to rest. Definitely an experience of a lifetime.

If you're looking for a place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of big cities, plan to work from home, and learn about the restaurant world, this is the place for you. Sylou prepared dishes for us as if we were her clients, accommodated us in a five-star private room, and treated us with so much love that it's now impossible not to stay in touch with her. In just two weeks, she became our French mom 😆. Keep in mind that it's not a touristy place as it's a bit remote, but for us, who were looking for a place to rest a bit, it was perfect. 🤩

I stayed one month with Sylou and Richard: it was an experience of a lifetime. They were really welcoming and truly an adventure to meet. Their happy spirits, lovely personalities, and warm hearts had been a gift to me. Every minute I spent with them was unique! The restaurant has an essence of its own which makes you feel part of it really quickly. Clients are nice and curious. There are plenty of different tasks you can do day by day, and there's no pressure whatsoever towards how much you can do to help BUT an extra hand is always very much needed, appreciated, and rewarded :) Thank you!

My experience with sylou was amazing. Our room was beautiful, she is so kind, flexible, and very clear with the help she needs. I was able to work in the kitchen and I was fascinated, I learned new things.🥰 I also work as a waitress and I love the experience. I really recommend this place 100% if you want to have a whole culinary experience since she cooks for the volunteers and it's delightful. You should consider that it's a bit remote, however, she picks you up at the station, takes you there, and when she need to do the shop, she can take you to the nearest village, La Charite.🥰

Sylou and Richard are amazing host, they made us feel like home. The village is really small, but with amazing views. We got also the chance to see another beautiful town. Sylou is really flexible with the activities and hours of volunteer, Sometimes we did less, sometimes we did more. At the end I would say that it also depends on you if you want to do more, she would never push you. I don't speak French, but even without it I got the chance to speak to a lot of locals. Thank you Sylou always for the amazing and loving meals.Thank you for the happy moments and all the love that you gave us

The restaurant and surrounding nature was very beautiful, and it was a great place to go on hikes from. The locals were very friendly and chatty and it was great for practising speaking French. I met lovely worldpackers from around the world and we got on great. I was very grateful for Sylou for taking us to the station on our days off so we could travel, as the restaurant is very remote. The neighbours in the village were very friendly and welcoming. I would say that working in the kitchen could be quite tiring and stressful and you needed a thick skin. Think Gordan Ramsey in French.

I really recommend this experience at the restaurant if you're willing to practice your French, and stay immersed in the French culture. The hosts Sylou and Richard are amazing people. I'll forever be grateful for what they did for me. The tasks are reasonable, and so are the days off that you have to travel around Europe. The rooms for the worldpackers are amazing, and the food is great. I had no experience at restaurants/bars and they were kind and patient to teach me everything. I'll take those lessons with me forever. Looking forward to coming back soon!

This has been the best volunteering experience I have ever had... Silou. He is a wonderful person, very understanding of his volunteers, always available to help and teach. The rooms and food are fabulous. Thank you for everything you gave me and I hope to return soon. Thank you very much.
