My time at the community was fantastic! I had fun meeting the other volunteers, I seemed to get on with every and the poeple at the center had a real peace! Meeting other travelers was a highlight for me. the teachings where inspiring and made me think about the way I view life! The daily tasks where fun and easy and I had a good timing laughing all the way! I highly recommend this to other worldpackers for its teaching, surroundings and meeting poeple! I wish you all the best, THANKS!!!

It's a magical place, will meet people from all over the world, and maybe like me, create very strong connections! It has a very spiritual atmosphere and people with the same energy. If you like the community and want to know more about Buddhism, improve your English and also reconnect with nature, this place is what you are looking for. I felt very well educated, even though I didn't speak the english language very well, my supervisor, Thourya, was able to explain everything to me, even though I had to repeat it sometimes, she did it with a big smile on her face! Thanks, I hope to come back.

I'm so grateful for this experience! The environment helps you to immerse you in this community and make very positive bonds. You can meet people from different cultures and very good stories from everyone. The food is delicious and everything is shared and very organized. You can feel the good will from everyone and it helps you change your mindset to do the same. Definitely it's a blessed place! Depending on the area they choose for you, you can become so physically exhausted that you don't enjoy your free time very much. But, taking that out, that place it's a magical place to experience.

My experience was very pleasant, I met people from all over the world and exchanged experiences. I stayed for six weeks, my goal was to practice English however there weren't many people who spoke English, there were a lot of Latinos and Spaniards, which displeased me a little because it was beyond my objective. As for the work, it's hard, you're really going to get tired, but that's good for the body and soul. I worked 4 weeks at Art Studio and asked to be transferred to House Keeping, that's where I really found myself, people were more united.I recommend it to anyone looking for inner peace

Thank you Annette and the entire the community team for an amazing experience! Working in the kitchen was a great experience which allowed me to learn a lot and meet many of the residents. The accomodation and grounds were beautiful but I would warn future volunteers to be wary of the location. It is a 50 minute walk into Ulverston town the community and a car is needed to reach most destinations in the Lake District.
