This was my first experience with worldpackers and I had the best time in Cancun. There was a few hiccups, I was put into a guest co-ed room for 2 weeks when you are promised a volunteer only room. The free food they give you at the party hostel is terrible and the communication could be better because when I arrived I had no idea what to do plus being in a guest room with no other volunteers I was completely lost. But besides these few hiccups, i had a great time and met amazing people.

I had the best time at the hostel Party Hostel! Despite some minor communication and organisational issues, I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel. Everyone is very open and nice, particularly Carlos (tour guide) and Daniel (front desk), which made my stay even more enjoyable. The tasks and hours are always respected and I found it very convenient having two days off in a row, which allowed me to visit some places further away from Cancun! I would definitely recommend this volunteer experience to anyone wanting to learn new things, meet people, and enjoy Mexico. Gracias por todo!

This was my first volunteer experience and I think it went pretty good. I met tons of great people from around the glode, volunteers and guests alike. the hostel provides plenty of opportunities to socialize and learn about what Cancun has to offer in regards to beaches, food, parties etc. Accomodations were supplemental, no complaints there. Something I think could use improvement at the hostel is organization/instructions from the host. I was assigned a job I did not make reservations for, and yet my work was coushoned with zero leniency for mistakes which felt unfair. That said, I enjoyed my stay:)

Carlos es muy buen host, es amable y siempre está disponible para cualquier duda que tengas. Siento que no conecté bien con los demás voluntarios por la naturaleza de mis tareas diarias, pero conocí a muchísimos viajeros en el hostal que hicieron mi estadía más amena y buena. Para ser mi primera experiencia siento que pudo haber mejorado en muchas cosas pero volveré por la revancha...

Excelente primera experiencia como voluntario, yo estuve durmiendo en enigmátic y todo el staff del hostal así como el equipo de Mezcal fueron amables y atentos siempre, me llevo conmigo amistades invaluables, el hostel tiene 3 hostales yo di clases de yoga en cada uno de ellos..en todos me trataron bien. Será un gusto volver a formar parte del equipo el hostel.

The hostel Isla Mujeres is a special place. The property is beautiful, and there is ample downtime to relax and check out the couple of local spots. The kitchen could be improved, and new volunteers could be integrated better with those already there. The staff is wonderful, generous, and kind - and happy to practice Spanish with you - even if all you know is 'hola' :) Carlos was flexible, and communicated well if I needed anything. Gracias!

It was a great experience to meet people from all over the world. I worked at the reception and it was really funny and I could learn a lot but sometimes also a little bit boring. When your looking for the real Mexico and the real culture it's a wrong place for you, but if you want to party and meet people, I really recommend it:)

Fue mi primer voluntariado y la experiencia fue muy buena, las tareas son muy sencillas y se cumple con lo que iba hacer, a la mitad del voluntariado cambie de tareas por decisión propia y no hubo ningún problema. Lo único malo tal vez es la comida que algunas veces era muy mala, pero aún así fueron pocas veces. Muchas gracias a Carlos, Arturo y Ana por todo. Si da el caso espero volver.
