A experiência

We've had great experiences with volunteers with some returning again and again.
We have a variety of projects for you from restoring historic buildings to gardening, room cleaning, fruit tree care, landscaping, organizing to painting. We're restoring this historic site as an eco-retreat center and small inn. We look forward to sharing plant-based foods and sustainability practices.

Atividades & Turnos

We usually have projects happening Monday - Friday from 7am to noon. This changes some depending on retreat and event schedules. Then we have a big lunch together and time to socialize and explore after that.

We require flexibility if we need to fill shifts on the weekend. If you we shift your workdays you will be sure to get a different day off.

Regras

There are some key aspects of volunteering with us that you should be prepared to follow:
1) Show up ready to work. When you come to the volunteer meeting each morning make sure you are on time, well fed, and have appropriate attire for the day (sun protection, close toed shoes, perhaps a snack).
2) Be ready to get dirty and sweat in the heat for some of your shifts.
3) Always carry a water bottle. Hydration is very important in the tropics.
4) Safety is paramount. If you can't do something safely, don't do it.
5) If you need more guidance on how to complete your tasks, please ask.
6) We provide a home for all our volunteers. We require that people take care and have pride in taking care of it.
7) Treat everyone with respect. Be patient with yourself and others.
