I recently completed a 6-week volunteering stint in the hostel, and overall, it was a positive and enriching experience. I had met some truly wonderful people as Viktor is. However, there were several challenges along the way. First, the showers downstairs were closed, and the kitchen sinks broke down, making everyday tasks more difficult. Shortly after, we were relocated to (Columbus) because the hostel was shut down for renovations due to widespread issues with the facilities. Following this, I was reassigned to the apartment team, which was quite demanding. However, I recommend the experience.

So I`ll do it here:

You are not just a great a volunteer, but a great actress as well how you could keep your patience in the most overwhelming situations with guests.

Your problem solving things are better than the manager sometimes. And I`m so sorry that you had to experience the bad side of the hostel world as well.

I am sorry about the relocation also, but It was for the better good I cannot accomodate you guys in a hostel without running water (Finally the situation is fixed)

So all I want to say is just be who you are. Be honest that`s what helps people and companies to improve and I cannot say enough thanks for saying the truth. You`re amazing and I`d like to have you back here when everything is fixed.

You still have an unfinished art here which is waiting for you haha (I`m really sad that we didn`t have the time here to finish it, the sketch looked amazing)

Lots of love to the hostel thanks to the volunteers I was with💕 The tasks were not difficult and you end up having lots of free time. The manager asks what shifts you want at the beginning of each week and is always there to help if you need, but also let's you do your own thing too. The place is run by volunteers so it's really dependant if you have a good group. It's a very cute hostel but semi annoying thing to note is that the beach is a 15 minute bus ride away- but the buses run very often so it's not inconvenient.

I loved my experience in the hostel! The hostel is really nice and everything is close by, the people that I met there were amazing and the manager Ilyas is so nice and always there if you need anything. In overall, I love the vibes in the hostel and Gran Canaria in general, I totally recommend this experience🫶🏻

My time at the hostel was great and too short. It was my first time volunteering, but since the tasks were easy and the team was super friendly, it was not difficult to feel comfortable. The hostel has a great location and everything is easy to reach. Also trips to the mountains during the days off are super doable. The only small thing that could be improved is the ventilation in the volunteer room. Otherwise, due to the never-ending spring and the other volunteers, the time just flew by. And I can only recommend the hostel to get a feeling of volunteering.

My experience at the hostel has been amazing. It was my first volunteering and I think it couldn't have been better. The hostel is really nice, so clean, new and near the historical center of Las Palmas. Also Ilyas, the manager, was really friendly, always available for any problem you could have. I had the luck of meeting great volunteers and guests I'll keep in my heart forever, as well as all the experiences I lived with them in this amazing island. Thank you the hostel🫶🏼

This was my first volunteering experience and it was absolutely amazing for me. The hostel is super new and clean, the position is really good (1 minute to the supermarket, 5-10 min to the principal bus station, there are a lot of shops around the hostel). You need the bus to go to the beach every time but there's a good discount at the surf school for the volunteers. I had so much fun with the other volunteers both from the hostel and the other hostels. Ilyas the manager is super nice and always ready to help you. I really would have stayed longer if I could. Best hostel and best experience!!!

Amazing experience. The hostel is really clean and modern, perfect position in the historic center and 1 min near a supermarket(fundamental). To get to the beach is really easy and fast, by bus/sitycleta it takes about 15/20 min. The manager is really nice and polite, always available also for recommendations. The hostel gives to the volounteers some discounts for different services, such as surfing lessons, car/bike rental, ecc… also free accommodations for some hostels around Gran Canaria. The island is amazing and you can always find something to do, the work is very easy and chill. 10/10

My experience was really positive, the team and the facilities were all lovely. The hostel itself was clean and modern and situated in close to the old town which is beautiful and it's a short bus journey to the beach. Ilyas was a good manager, and made some recommendations for time in Gran Canaria which was really helpful, and he was very supportive in answering questions even when on holiday (sorry!) One downside is it does get very warm in the hostel as there is no aircon or outward facing windows in the dorm but it was bearable. Overall a great experience

Ilias, der Manager, und die zu erledigende Arbeit war sehr entspannt. Das Hostel hat eine gute Lage und ist relativ gut gepflegt. Ich habe durchschnittlich 90€ pro Woche ausgegeben. Es war einer der besten Erfahrungen in meinem Leben und ich würde es sofort wiederholen.

I'm so happy to have spent a month in the hostel :) the hostel is new, the volunteers room is also very comfortable, the shifts are okay and you have a lot of time to explore the island. The hostel is in the centre of the city, so you have everything you could need nearby and, even if I'm not really a city person, the other volunteers and the manager made things nicer :)
