The Center was a wonderful host - she was very kind and welcoming. She was very flexible with working hours, and it was possible to take breaks during the day if you needed. The house and garden was beautiful. We helped with gardening and cleaning and the Center told us about her permaculture project, which was very interesting. We had a great stay!

The Center is a very sweet and kind hostess. She seemed very open to suggestions and collaborative connections. Everything that was pre-agreed for the volunteer period was carried out without great efforts or problems. The time I was there was very pleasant and productive and the other volunteers were also very nice and generous. The space for volunteers is very well equipped and I felt very respected, that is why I recommend the experience of visiting the place and knowing the Center's dreams and plans for the the Center, especially if you believe you can help make them come true.

The Center is a really nice and caring person. She is also very considerate about your comfort and well being. I really felt very welcoming here. Despite of her busy schedule, she was always there for the help. The stay was also very nice and comfortable. In sort everything was perfect.

I can highly recommend Shubham, he is a very nice and gentle person with a good heart, it was great having him here. He is very reliable and helped us with our computer and webissues. Several times I had to tell him to work less, but he didn`t. So that`s the onliest thing that didn`t work :))

The house is beautiful and there are a lot of fields around that are great for long walks. There were issues with communication between the Center & me. I was there to work on social media and in our video call prior, we had agreed on the tasks. However, when I was there, she wanted me to do other gardening & cleaning tasks. When I cleaned up after myself & it wasn't done in front of her, she doesn't believe that it's done which was challenging. Her massive fear of radiation was also challenging as she went into our things and room to scan for radiation which felt like an invasion of privacy.

Nadia, after you have left I was left speechless for a day. Honesty is a quality thats very important to me. We seem to be different here.

Before you came, we had a video-call. My intention was to clearify the settings with you. As I planned to have a „creative girl`s-table“ that work together in a team, I decided not to take an other volunteer for other tasks, because this volunteer would feel a bit alone when not integrated in our team. So I wanted to make sure that its okay for you also to help a little bit with other tasks, like cleaning or cooking or some gardenwork. You agreed and said that you only don’t like garden work. I didn’t know that when I ask you to please pick 2 hands full of raspberries for lunch, that this is garden work for you already.

I also told you in our prior video-call that during your stay I will close the Airbnb so we can work very creatively without any guests here. But this would mean that we have to clean our own things because no one else will do it for us. You agreed on this. And it was a big investment for me as I gave you my nicest apartment which I usually rent for 180.- €/night. When the day came where I asked you to please help for one hour (!) during your whole stay with cleaning you refused and told me „Thats not what I came here for.“ At this day I should have drawn the consequences. But I didnt, and that was a mistake I made. Especially when the other volunteer had to clean your room and your dishes what I unfortunately realized too late. Thats not my understanding of teamwork and I am also responsible that other volunteers feel good here also and have a great time.

The Center is a nice person, very committed to her work and to her home. She was very patient as my English is not the best; although workwise it didn't flow as I expected, the coexistence was good and the food is delicious, it was a good experience.

My first World Packer experience was quite memorable. I enjoyed my stay and had a good time with fellow volunteer Anne. However, the Center and I had different communication styles, which often led to misunderstandings and left me feeling frustrated. Prior to my arrival in Germany, I was informed that a significant portion of my time would be dedicated to social media. Still, most of the trip revolved around gardening and housework. This discrepancy was disappointing, and it raised questions about the Center's cultural awareness, as there were instances where I felt it was lacking.

Dear Salena, when you came her I needed help with social media very, very urgently. I was very happy that you applied for this. It was disappointing for me that I had to decide to give you other easy jobs in the garden or house and not what you came for. But this was because you had very unique ideas how you want to work: You didn`t want to share your social-media-posts with me, you didnt want to show it to me or discuss it with me, you very not open to my ideas and needs. Besides that you told me that you don`t want to work 5 hours a day. You would prefer to have a lazy holiday time, and then at the end, the last days, work really, really hard and present me your finished social-media posts. But that`s the opposite of team-work in my eyes. I appreciate to have exchange with my volunteers and to have a good and creative time together.
