I had the BEST month at the hostel. The owners were lovely, Cris (the general manager) was so great and became a close friend and the rest of the volunteers too - we all became family. The work is 25 hours per week. I mostly worked the reception. the hostel itself is beautiful and there's many volunteers maintaining cleanliness and catering for guests needs. This hostel is a co - working hostel so even the guests can stay for a month or so too, so they also become friends. Overall I definitely recommend AND ill most likely be back one day! The hostel is the literally the best hostel ever. You will fall in love with the place, so big, fully equipped with everything you may need and with an amazing view. Working here taught me so much about myself and people as well, since you'll be touch with many volunteers, guests and souls from all around the world! The work is super fair compared to what you get back and you can express yourself organising activities, dinners and sharing with people what you like to do. You will have the possibility to leave a mark on the island but mostly in your heart! Super recommended🔥❤️

I had my first volunteering experience at the hostel and I would go back there again! Above all, the guest and the other volunteers made my time there unforgettable. I spent a lot of time only at the hostel because the place is a bit far from the nearest town. But the various hostel activities made it really fun, so I didn't really miss anything! Work was a bit hard at times but always manageable.

My experience at the hostel was spectacular! I can say it was the most beautiful place I've ever been! The group of volunteers is large and the shifts are well managed, the place is magnificent and it is not heavy at all! I recommend it especially to those who do it for the first time, I hope to come back soon! love you guys 🩷

The hostel es un lugar especial, perfecto para relajarte y compartir con los demás. Tiene una piscina increíble :) :) perfecta para refrescarse en verano. Los host son muy amables. Gracias a todos por hacerme sentir en casa. Espero volver!!

This was my best volunteering experience so far! I volunteered at the treehouse for nearly 4 weeks and had the best time! The treehouse feels like an oasis in the desert. A lively place with good vibes. The greatest thing about the hostel is the fact that most people who come stay for longer than just a few days, which makes for the opportunity to build amazing friendships. At the treehouse, there's a warm community and freedom to be your crazy self. There are always activities like yoga, hiking, surfing, bar nights and much more! I highly recommend volunteering at the treehouse!

The hostel was an amazing place to do my first volunteering experience while traveling!! The 25 hours of work per week are fully respected and the work environment is mainly collaborative, all the volunteers helped me in the first shifts teaching me every task that needs to be done. Every tuesday, the hostel provides a box of free vegetables and fruits. Thanks a lot for this amazing experience ❤️

I recently volunteered at this hostel and saw its great potential but several areas need improvement. The location is beautiful, but it's hard to reach without a car making exploring challenging. My main concern is the lack of on-site staff. Only the owners and a maintenance team are present leaving volunteers to handle most responsibilities primarily cleaning which often feels like unpaid labor. Communication from management can be passive-aggressive and more organization is needed. However the volunteers were amazing. This could be a fantastic experience with actual staff and better support.

Sinceramente, bastante decepcionado con la gestión de un sitio muy chulo y con gran potencial. En la realidad es un engaño porque de voluntariado no hay nada, ES UN TRABAJO, y se te exige como tal... Los voluntariados podrían hacer mil cosas, pero ellos prefieren ahorrarse contratar a un servicio de limpieza y no tener absolutamente nada de vida en el hostal, ni actividades para sus huéspedes y mucho menos voluntarios que deberán organizar todo por su cuenta si lo quisieran. No dan muchas felicidades para moverse y sobretodo Angie, es una moneda con 2 caras...

Si es importante tener en cuenta que durante las horas pactadas de intercambio o colaboración se te pida que cumplas las tareas que acordaste al aceptar el voluntariado. They have no idea what volunteering is about: they'll explore u and wont give a single f**k about your experience as a traveler or your dignity as a person Volunteers are the cleaning staff, expect a heavy work as if u were a paid employee. U'll be under fear&stress, more then once i felt disrespected Activities r an extra responsibility: u have to invest your own money and work extra hours the hostel is isolated so u cant explore around w/a car (no extra transfers for volunteers ofc) In return u get a filthy dorm+30€ worth of food that should feed 10ppl for 7days (0,43€ p/day p/p..wtf?

Thank you for your comment Bruna. We are sorry to hear you didn't appreciate your time here with us. Normally our volunteers have amazing experiences here, as you can read in the rest of reviews. The conditions and tasks to be done are very clear, and also confirmed in the previous video call we do with every volunteer. The location is also very easy see in our profile. We absolutely love being away from the city center but still only 10 minutes walk from the beach, it key to build that community feeling we have here. The last small thing is that the fruit and veg we buy for the volunteers is not mention in the exchange, we just buy it every week for you to have fresh food and support the local farmers
