My first world Packers experience couldn't have been better! Syros was beautiful, the hosts were wonderful and helpful. I did the digital marketing program which was really interesting and fun, highly recommend. Great day structure, working in the mornings and having afternoons off to explore, and weekends plus extra days off made it easy to visit other islands. Thank you for an incredible stay!

Before the host, Syros was never on my radar. However, I am so glad I took this opportunity as its sustainability challenges widened my view on responsible tourism. From acceptance to departure, the team's warmth and support was evident. the host offers more than volunteering; it's a transformative approach to travel. To those yearning for a deeper connection with the places they visit, this is for you! Despite my shortened stay due to Orthodox Easter, the impact was lasting. I stayed here for two weeks and I wished I stayed for longer. Syros is a beautiful island with a strong local community. Even during winter it is full of life. the host team is super welcoming and friendly. The work is interesting and flexible. I learnt a lot Greece's environmental policy and was happy that I could contribute with my research. I cannot wait to come back here in the future!

The host is a wonderful organization with the loveliest people. I did the policy research program for 3 months and I now feel like I have a new home here on Syros. The team is warm, hilarious, hardworking, and dedicated to making Syros sustainable culturally and environmentally. I became completely immersed in the local community and the relaxing flow of island life. The research added to my knowledge base on environmental policy and was a great way to continue my interests post graduation while traveling. The hours are very fair and flexible allowing me opportunity to island hop.

I had an incredible two-week volunteering experience with the host in Syros. The team was highly supportive, and the accommodation was conveniently located just a 20-minute walk from the city center. The work was flexible and engaging, allowing for personal input and creativity. Syros is a gem of an island, rich in culture, and provides the opportunity to interact with locals. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience for those seeking a meaningful adventure.

This was my first worldpackers experience and I couldn't ask for anything better! The team of the host are genuinely caring and generous people. The work isn't too hard (I did farming) the days are very flexible and everything is being communicated. During my stay I got to meet locals and get to know the Greek culture and language and was lucky enough to meet amazing volunteers from all over the world. The base is located about 20 min walk from the center and there is a convenient bus system to move around the Island and explore Syros and it's beautiful nature and beaches. Thank you!

It was amazing! They have something like a treaty for rules and safety of the volunteers and a cleaning rota, in which the volunteers have to take care of the apartment. All volunteers live together “at the base” without any of the organisation's members, which makes it comfortable. It's right in the city! Jimmy does the grocerys twice a week for the volunteers. The island is very safe and every person I met was so nice and friendly and the tasks were easy. I really recommend going to Ano Syros at night and eating vaflaki waffles. They have beautiful balconies for sunsets!!

I cannot recommend this experience enough - it exceeded my already high expectations! The hosts were amazing, very understanding and welcoming and going above and beyond to help with everything. The accomodation was lovely and the programme was very interesting. I recommend this to anyone - thanks so much !
