I recommend everyone! It's a really peaceful and relaxing place where you can meditate and pray. I learned about Buddhism. I could practice the English and my language skills improved a lot. Everyone was very happy and kind. So my experiences are just positive.✨

Es una gran experiencia, en Tara se aprender muchísimo sobre el Budismo y sus costumbres. Las tareas son sencillas y el horario de trabajo es cómodo. Es un espacio grande, muy bonito y con mucho para explorar!! Cerca del centro de Derby y otros lugares para visitar. Es una experiencia que recomiendo.

My days in this wonderful place were incredible! Everyone is so lovely and friendly and EVERYONE helps each other out! I really felt part of the whole! The working hours are respected, the work is not difficult, in fact it is a pleasure to be able to help and be involved with something so good! The place is beautiful, the accommodation is very cozy and the food is delicious! I was able to participate in classes and practices and I will certainly continue studying! Thanks to everyone who made this experience so special and contributed to my learning! Tara the Center is a home! See you soon!

Tara the Center was one of the most important volunteer work for me, I met people that I will remember and thank for the rest of my life. The tasks are easy, the room is cozy, the food is delicious and the Center is a real home! It was an immense pleasure to be there, and the meditation classes gave me more direction about Buddhism than which one I intend to follow. thank you all!

My experience in Tara was incredible, the people are very friendly, the jobs are varied, the place is large and surrounded by nature, I loved working in the cafe and sharing with different volunteers, I learned about meditation, I highly recommend this place.

My experience at TARA was amazing! This was my first volunteer and I couldn't have chosen a better place! People are so kind, it's a peaceful and quiet space. I joined some meditation classes and they were very nice, specially the lunch time ones. the Center is in the middle of trees and nature to enjoy, the accommodations are comfortable and clean. Dorms are separated: female and male, but bathrooms are shared, but they're always clean. Food at lunch and supper is delicious and more than enough. It's easy to get there from Derby bus station, just a 20 min ride in the Villager.

The time I spent at Tara was amazing. From the moment I arrived until the last day I was very well received, all the employees, the people who live there, the monks and nuns, everyone is very kind and friendly. You are free to join the meditation sessions and courses as well. Working hours are always respected and the food is always very delicious. I highly recommend it to anyone who can have the experience at Tara. ❤️
