This was my first volunteering experience ever, and I couldn't have asked for a better one ! The manager and staff immediatly makes you feel welcomed. They sometimes plan activities so it's easy to get to know the other volunteers and the guests who come from all over the world. The shifts (changing beds/doing the laundry/cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen..) are not difficult and are done in a few hours so you can have free time to discover this lovely city, whose center is only a 25 mn walk from the hostel. I know that I will definitely come back to this place 😊

The hostel is an incredible place with a very comfortable atmosphere. The manager and staff are always attentive to the volunteers and always provide the best recommendations to get to know the city. I learned English in the 3 months I had. I loved the hostel, I hope to return one day.

Volunteering at the hostel was amazing, I felt really comfortable and welcomed by the staff and volunteers. Everyone was respectful of each other's privacy and personal space. The work was not heavy and almost all the shifts are done with others, so it was really easy and fun to do it as a team. They are always arranging events so we could spend more time together, for those who wanted. The accommodations are good and I have no complaints about it. Edinburgh is lovely and if you are a Café lover, like me, you'll have a big list of places to visit. Would definitely go back again. <3

I couldn't have asked for a better first worldpackers hostel experience. The tasks at the hostel were fairly simple but had to be taken seriously - bed changing, laundry, cleaning the common room, and occasionally maintenance of the kitchen and bathroom. I had enough time on working days to go around the town - cafe hopping, hiking, beach bonfires, ceilidh experience, etc and on week offs to take day trips. A big thank you to Stephanie and other volunteers for making the experience sooo amazing - not if, but when I return I can't wait to be back here. Edinburgh has my heart ❤️ XOXO

Once again had an amazing experience at the hostel! the hostel is perfect if you are looking to explore Edinburgh while meeting international travellers. Once you arrive you will never want to leave.

A great experience for anyone wanting to volunteer in Edinburgh, management and staff are fun, friendly, flexible and understanding. Work is extremely reasonable and easy to pick up. Stephanie is a fantastic manager and the other volunteers while I was staying made the experience all the more better. Couldn't recommend the hostel more!

It was my second time at the hostel and I had the best time again! From celebrating New Years and Scottish traditions together, to exploring Edi and having beach bonfires. The work is super fair and easy and gives more than enough time to go out ( + basically everything is in a walking distance ). Felt very welcome and Stephanie, Micaelyn and the staff team are doing their best to make sure you have a great stay. Can't wait to come back soon :)

This was my first volunteer experience and i couldn't have chosen a better place, a home away from home. The location is great, everything is walkable, the shifts were pretty easy and quick so i had plenty of time to explore the city with the other volunteers, i made friends from all around the world and stephanie is a great host she was always there to help. I had the best time and couldn't recommend it more :)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Friendly, sociable, reliable and easy going, Silvana was a pleasure to have around and did a great job pulling our Spanish and English speakers together while acting as translator and teacher at the same time.

I had a fantastic time in the hostel! I met really amazing volunteers and had a lot of fun in the wonderful city of Edinburgh! The work hours are pretty fair and easy, and you get more than enough time to go out and explore. Stephanie is also a very kind and good manager!! Thank you very much for this opportunity! Definitely recommend it!!!

The hostel Edinburgh is a great hostel to volunteer at. The work is very standard and easy to do. Steph is super flexible and incredibly helpful both with work issues and scheduling but also with recommendations for the city. The location is right by all the bus stops, tram, and rail stations you need. It's about 15/25 minutes from old town pubs. It's a very social enviorment so super easy to make friends with the rest of the staff and there's always someone willing to go out with you weither it's pub, museums, or sightseeing. I'd recommend the hostel Edinburgh to everyone!
