My experience with Politecnico Superior was AMAZING! This was my first true experience spending time alone in another country, so I had my set of nerves, but within just a few days, I felt right at home. Eduin is a great host, and even better person! He went out of his way to be accommodating, and helped provide great experiences within the country. The people at the school and in the town were awesome, and I felt very safe while living here for almost 2 months. I would recommend this experience for anyone who is looking to make a difference in other people's lives.

First, and most importantly, everyone at the school is wonderful – I could not have asked for a warmer or more welcoming staff and faculty. The students are also adorable, and my favorite part was getting to talk to them about their lives, culture, and dreams. If you're someone who likes to travel and hike a lot, this is the Workaway for you. But if you're someone who prefers to immerse yourself in a community, it can be challenging. You only see most students once or twice a month, and the staff is usually too busy to socialize, meaning you're mostly left on your own.

I thought they were very professional and nice people. Very helpful and honest. I wish there were Spainish lessons but everything else was great.

Duncan was sick from a yellow fever vaccination, and he helped us out at times, doing everything he could. Duncan is a good person, and we communicated very well. Thank you, Duncan.

The school is a great school, and Edwin and the staff are so welcoming and helpful! One thing I wasn't aware is that they have different locations, so I went to La Dorada (one hour away) for my first week. It can be a little isolating if you're on your own, but my second two weeks were lovely as I shared the apartment in Mariquita with another volunteer. There was an unexpected weather situation while there, but no fault to the school! You need to be a little flexible with your schedule, but Edwin listens to what you want. I also recommend visiting local gems like Cuidad Perdida de Falan!

Savanna is a very good girl, she is very friendly and a very good teacher, students and our school team love her. Savanna is always on time, responsable and extrover. She helped us a lot with our students, she prepared every activity to teach with love and passion, we highly recomend Savanna.

I loved the experience at Poli Superior Institute. I was able to have a real impact helping the students with their English studies while at the same time exchanging stories and having fun. The hosting experience was really good and left plenty of time for me to explore the town and go to the gym. The town is really friendly and safe and it's a nice change from the chaotic environment of big cities. The other teachers at the institute are really helpful and they will let you know how to prepare materials and how to handle the classes. Would recommend the volunteer work and would do it again!

Christian is an excellent person, he is very responsable, proactive, on time and creative. It was an amazing experience. Our students and teachers really enjoyed the time he was with us. All the time he was ready to help us, because he is very friendly, children and students in general loved his english classes.

My friend and I had a really great time with Poli Superior!!! We lived by ourself in a big apartment above one of the school locations and got money every week for food which was a pure luxury! The staff is amazing, they really took us in and invited us on day trips, festivities and hang out. The experience with teaching kids was also awesome and really giving for us both as a cultural experience and learning Spanish. We were overall really happy about it as it was very structured and properly done- huge recommendation!

An experience that made us feel useful. We stayed two weeks and it was very nice. The children and staff are adorable and are used to welcoming international people. They make sure we have a good experience. I completely recommend this volunteering!

I had a fantastic time volunteering at the school. The students and the staff were both great, and Edwin, the program manager, is extremely accommodating and willing to help with whatever you need. Occasionally, you will be asked to teach classes without another teacher, which can be difficult if you don't speak Spanish. However, even if you don't, the students do their best to work with you. If you want to escape to a remote town and truly immerse yourself in the culture, I wholeheartedly recommend the school.

Hi, Miles is a very good guy, he is very friendly and a very good teacher, students and our school team love him. Miles is always on time, responsable and extrover. He always has a smile in his Facebook, he likes to meet peple. Mile helped us 1 month and he got a Long with everybody, his classes were amazing, we highly recomend Miles.

I had a great experience at the school! All the staff were so friendly, helpful and welcoming and the students were lovely and very motivated to learn and practice their English! The town is nice and safe and the living facilities were great! I very much recommend this organisation and volunteering experience!
