Danilo and Cielo are wonderful hosts. We knew our tasks, we were involved in the community. We had a good time teaching English to the kids and adult in the community. I can use the bike to the beach and La Perica Sloth Garden. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We would use the kitchen and cooked our own meal. Mangoes were delicious from the garden. Danilo would share some insights of the culture, the people, the nature. We would miss his family, his dogs and cat, his parents. We had wonderful students who were eager to learn and practice their English. Thank you Dani.

Primera experiencia de voluntariado en costa rica, y no pudo haber sido mejor. En the lodge te sentís como en casa. Danilo, Consuelo, the lodge, me hicieron sentir super cómoda. Muchas charlas y rondas de mate mientras trabajábamos o nos relajabamos en el parque del lugar, que es divino. Dan ganas de quedarse más tiempo, super buena gente y más que recomendado para los voluntarios que piensen en venir. Además, la zona es hermosa. Las playas a las que podés ir en bici son increíbles! Llenas de animales y un paisaje súper lindo. Me llevo una experiencia de 10, y ganas de volver:)

I had a really good and relaxed stay here. Everybody was really nice, I loved the little wooden cabin and Garden and the host was super flexible. I also loved driving with the bike to the beach close by. If you want to experience a authentic Costa Rican small town and get in contact with locals I would recommend it. Thanks for that experience :)

Mi experiencia en la cabaña estuvo de 10. Danilo es una persona super amable con quien se puede conversar mucho rato. En este caso, ambos compartimos el gusto por la creación de contenido y estuvimos trabajando en ello. Si tienen la posibilidad pueden pedir tambien ayudar en la cabala de drake, que queda cerca y tiene unas playas escondidas muy bellas. Recomendado 100%

My girlfriend and me had a wonderful time staying with Danilo. Unfortunately my girlfriend got sick in the beginning but Danilo and Consuela took wonderful care of her so that she got better in no time. The work hours were reasonable and Danilo always made sure that we the lodge't have to work during the hot times of the day. Apart from the work Danilo is very connected with his community and had many recommendations for adventures in the area, he even gave us bikes so we could get around super easily. We would definitely recommend staying with Danilo, it was a great time. ✨

Danilo is awesome! He is very involved in his community, and staying with Danilo you feel involved in the community as well. The tasks are very fair and laid back - he wants his volunteers to work where they have strengths, and as a group of two we only worked 2.5 hours a day. There was a lot of Spanish practice (Danilo speaks some English - but mostly Spanish), and because we are fluent in English, most of our tasks involved teaching English to people in the community. The lodging is definitely rustic, but Danilo has bikes and makes his volunteers feel at home. I would recommend!

Our stay with Danilo and Consuelo was amazing. In just two weeks we got to immerse in the community and get to know the beautiful town. Danilo is very involved in his community and is so welcoming and friendly to his volunteers. He makes you feel right at home. He took care of us and helped us with planning to go to the national park and we got to practice lots of Spanish. Note that the accommodations are rustic, but have everything you need including a comfortable bed, kitchen, mosquito bed net. Also the climate is very hot because obviously it is the rainforest! Highly recommend!!

We spent two weeks with Danny and Cielo. It was a mixture of laughter, English, Spanish, work and lots of adventures. The place is very well located, close to playa blanca and a river. The bicycles provided were very useful. For work, we mainly picked up leaves, taught English to locals and painted. Danny knows how to adapt to our different abilities, and has never made us work under very strong heat. We played a lot cards, talked, learned a little Spanish and discovered the city and its surroundings. The animals are adorable. You won't regret coming. Thank you for everything, Jay x Clarita

Mi experiencia en el alojamiento fue extraordinariamente buena. Danilo es una persona muy amable, con ideas y proyectos muy buenos tanto para los voluntariados como para la comunidad de la Palma. Siempre que necesitamos algo no dudó en ayudarnos y darnos una mano en cualquier situación. Hemos podido conocer la cultura local en varios aspectos y ha sido tan buena y tranquila que hemo decido quedarnos mas tiempo del esperado. El lugar tiene todo lo necesario, cocina, lavandería, internet, baño, etc. Hay un Kiosko a la vuelta de la cuadra que tiene de todo. La playa está a 3 kilómetros.

La experiencia aquí fue maravillosa, tanto que hemos decidido quedarnos un tiempo extra. Dani y su familia nos recibieron con calidez y entusiasmo, siempre dispuestos a ayudarnos y hacernos sentir en casa. El trabajo y los horarios son flexibles, y la zona está llena de lugares naturales hermosos para visitar en los tiempos libres. Estoy muy agradecida con la experiencia, con ganas de no irme nunca 🫶🏽☀️
