Minha experiência no anfitrião foi incrível! A casa que recebe crianças esta localizada no meio das montanhas. A rotina é muito tranquila: estar presente, brincar, ajudar nas tarefas de casa, ajudar na cozinha e estar atenta às necessidades de cada um. As pessoas e o lugar são muito acolhedores: existe calma, comida saudável e privacidade quando quiser! Recomendo essa experiência para quem quer se conectar com crianças, praticar espanhol, conhecer a culinária peruana e viver uma imersão cultural. É uma experiência única e maravilhosa!!

Esta foi a melhor experiência da minha vida. Aqui fui muito feliz e aprendi muito mais do que ensinei. 1 mês é o tempo ideal mínimo para ficar no orfanato, para criar relação com as crianças e estabelecer laços e rotinas. Recomendo vivamente a todos os que queiram passar a ver a vida com os outros olhos!

Volunteering at the project was an unforgettable experience. The kids are all kind and wonderful to interact with. The work involved lots of food prep, cleaning and helping out with the animals. We would get some downtime after lunch to spend doing whatever we'd like to do (go into town, play games with the kids, baking). Getting the opportunity to spend Christmas here was such a cool experience! I felt like we learned lots about the local culture, and truly felt like part of a family. Only recommendations for other travellers are to speak some Spanish before arriving and to bring some snacks.

We had a fantastic time at the project! It was so rewarding getting the opportunity to help look after all the kids and animals, as well it was awesome meeting other like-minded people from around the world. Would absolutely recommend this opportunity to anyone, it would be beneficial if you could speak Spanish

The location is 15min walk from the town of Oropesa. There is a bus that can be caught easily to and from Cusco for 3 Sols. This organisation does a great service and the children who are there were very happy and safe. There are always things to do and you will get the most out of the experience with the effort you put in. We were lucky to experience the local fair of the town and a visit from Cusco football club, which was a memorable day for the children. We met other likeminded travellers who volunteered and became fast friends.

Staying at the project was a life changing experience. The kids are amazing and the work was rewarding. You must be prepared to give a lot of your self here, which can be challenging at times. The work requirement says 5 hours per day but the expectation is going to be more than that. The volunteers meet quite early in the morning (6:45) to help with breakfast, and then aside from a few hours break after making lunch it's pretty busy until the kids go to sleep around 9pm. It's a lot of hours but breakfast, lunch, and dinner is provided. Overall it was great and we're considering coming back :)

Hermosa experiencia que guardare por siempre! Los chicos del orfanato son los mas dulces y buenos del mundo! Alcides siempre estuvo presente, preguntando como nos sentimos y eso es lindo. el proyeto es un lugar en el que necesitan mucha ayuda a toda hora, así que tienes que poner mucho entusiasmo y esfuerzo durante casi todo el dia! Yo lo disfrute mucho, lleno de hermosos animales. Gracias a Vicky que es una hermosa persona que se ocupa mucho en que todo salga bien y que los niños estén bien! Gracias por todo ❤️

El proyeto, fue una experiencia maravillosa. Me enanore del lugar, de la gente , de los niños. El trabajo que hacen es maravilloso, me encantaría volver. Allá se queda un pedacito de mi corazón. Las actividades son variadas, desde cocinar, hasta ayudar con los peques. Recomiendo mucho la experiencia

La experiencia en el proyeto puede ser muy bonita, pero necesitas estar dispuesta a dar de tu persona todo el día. Cada día, nos sentimos todas obligadas de hacer más que 5 horas de trabajo, porque aún estando entre 4 y 7 voluntarias, la tarea de cocina nunca estaba acabada a las 10. Nos hubiera gustado poder hacer actividades con los niños pero después del largo turno de cocina, estabamos agotadas. Varias veces faltarón informaciones, lo que no nos hizo sentir valoradas o respectadas. Sin embargo, el proyeto es un lugar bonito con muchos animales y niños cariñosos que realmente te necesitan!

It was one of the best experiences of my life. the project is a very special place. Dante, Vic and Senhor Alcides created a real family. The boys are amazing!! I learned a lot about Peruvian culture and life in general. I really hope I can come back one day!
