Staying with Zaki and Yati was a wonderful experience. If we had longer to spend in Malaysia, we would have stayed for a very long time. We were with them for only 8 days, but from the start and throughout we were treated as friends. Most of the time here is spent eating delicious food and chatting to new friends. They have created a special place full of love and warmth.

We stayed with Zaki, Yati and their family for a week and it was a positive and rewarding experience. We were welcomed as a part of the family and learned so much about the local culture and community. Zaki and Yati truly make you feel at home and are very kind and enthusiastic hosts. We spent most of our time cooking, eating and chatting - our favourite things! If you're looking for a very immersive and authentic experience then this is the perfect stay for you. You'll arrive as guests and leave as family!

I spent 10 days with Zaki and his family and I wish I could stay more ! I really felt part of the family, with very nice conversations, spending time with the children and I was also invited by their friends or neighbours to share meals. I couldn't imagine a better immersion in the Malaysian culture ! The tasks are mostly helping in the kitchen and I had free time to explore the village. We were 3 volunteers at the same time, it was also really nice to connect with other travellers. Thank you again for everything 😍

Zaki and her family are super friendly. If you really want to immerse yourself in the local culture, I would highly recommend this volunteer program. I've met a lot of people, and the city and the people there are the best.

Zaki, Yati, Sophia and Ean were a perfect family to me a two way street of love and respect. I stayed 30 days and enjoyed every one of them. Lifestyle is laid back and friendly, this gives you time to relax, gather your mind . Chores are light they don't ask for much just be you. Just make yourself available ask if anything is needed to be done Highly recommend staying here the village and the people of the project will welcome you. We have got pizza on there main menu so when you have some raise a slice to Marina for making this possible! Thank you Zaki and family 590 will return

Zaki and his family are very smiling and welcoming, which makes you relax and just enjoy the moment. They are happy to share knowledge they have in any topic, and has really helped us to understand more of Malaysian culture. The atmosphere is very laidback with a lot of talking, laughing and sharing stories. There are no specific task that need to be done, but we enjoyed helping in the kitchen (both before and after dinner) and doing whatever needed to be done that day. Just being part of their everyday lives. Thank you for a good start to volunteering and an amazing experience.

We were welcomed by a loving family and felt at home right away. It was an amazing and unique experience getting to know the local way of living. We were not only welcomed by the family but also got to know the friends and other locals living in the village. We were asjes to paint a mural for the local school and had an amazing time giving a little bit back to the community. They even took us along to a wedding in the weekend feeling truly as part of the family. We learned to live like a local and appreciate the slow and simple way of living. A perfect break from the rush of traveling.

I stayed with Zaki and his family for a week, it was an absolutely amazing time and a highlight from my travels in Malaysia! I was truly welcomed by Zaki and his wonderful family, they let me into their everyday, home and we cooked amazing Malay food together. I will highly recommend to stay with Zaki and his family if you want a break from travelling and just calm down in the beautiful surroundings of the project. Worldpackers have a limit on how much information you can write, so Zaki is apparently not able to write all the information. I recommend you to ask for all the information :))
