Maybe my expectations were too high, but my experience at the lodge wasn't great. The place felt abandoned, and I had some uncomfortable encounters with locals and another volunteer who even suggested I leave. I really wanted to like it, but the facilities were poorly maintained—the kitchen was messy, and the tepee I stayed in was very basic and not clean. I even found a condom wrapper in my bed, which made me question the cleaning standards. If you're not into a very alternative, hippie-style environment, I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

We offer you to stay in a cabaña instead of camping if you could help clean it, you said you preffer cabaña. We usually have big camping houses for volunteers but gave you a cabaña for guest. Being hit by a hirricane category four couple of months before is not having abandoned things, it is process of reconstruction. It is a diferent story. Sad you cant see. The guest that where here at the same time left good reviews, hard to believe in the 12 hours you where here had time to have deep talk

Beautifully isolated location. It gets very hot during the day (stayed in December). Don't expect much social interaction. I wish this project all the best!

El alojamiento es un lugar magico que te permite sentirte en mucha conexión con el mar, siempre hay gente entrando y saliendo y todxs son muy buena onda :)

Chacahua is a magical place, and volunteering there is a great way to connect with travelers. However, at the time, the lodge was still recovering from the hurricane, so the work was very heavy and physically demanding, sometimes exhausting. Kris was flexible and supportive, which I appreciated. The sleeping accommodations were not in good condition and quite crowded, and there was no comfortable space to work or relax .I truly value the community we built, but overall, the environment and volunteer conditions could be improved.

Dharma sigue en su última etapa de recuperación, afortunadamente estamos ya casi terminando. Esto nos ha complicado los espacios de alojamiento en este mes de lluvias intensas. Lamentablemente nuestro espacio/área de trabajo para huéspedes y voluntarios desapareció

Chacahua es un lugar mágico, me enamore del lugar y me termine quedando más de lo planeado, en la casa tienes vistas hermosas todo el tiempo, las instalaciones son muy cómodas, la playa esta a unos pasos de tu cama, tienen un espacio hermoso para meditación y yoga, está retirado pero no muy lejos del pueblo por lo que es una zona bastante tranquila, el trabajo no es pesado y hay mucha flexibilidad respecto a horarios y de más, más que horas de trabajo son tareas y descansas un día a la semana,muchísimas gracias Iris y Kris por recibirmeen su hogar 🤍

Chacahua es un lugar increible, el lugar cerca de la playa te permite escuchar las olas 24/7, Kris y compañía son excelentes personas. Sencillamente una maravilla
