I highly recommend this volunteer experience for anyone looking to make a positive impact in a community in need. I worked on three projects: assisting children with homework, providing support and activities for the elderly, and developing physical activities for adolescent mothers, always with help from a permanent volunteer. And the NGO, led by Bernabe, provided valuable support and cultural immersion. However, I suggest reconsidering the $150 fee, as food and transport are extra costs, and clarifying in the ad that there are no private rooms and that volunteers work not only with children.

Tanto Bernabé como Ingrid se portaron de forma excelente conmigo. Desde el primer día me llevaron a ver el mercado de la ciudad para sumergirme en la cultura, se preocuparon siempre por el bien estar de los voluntarios tanto en los proyectos como en la casa y ayudaron en todo lo posible en que todos estuviéramos agusto. La ayuda que se ofrece en el proyecto es una ayuda muy directa que permite entrar en el contacto con el problema de los niños en primer plano. Estos niños son maravillosos y fue un enorme placer poder enseñarles cosas y aprender de ellos tambien. Extrañaré mucho a todos!

João es un chico alegre, solidario, optimista y muy buena persona. Ayudó mucho al proyecto de niños y ancianos. Creó un buen ambiente en la casa de voluntarios y con sus compañeros. Es muy alegre y social.

Thomas did very well in volunteer work with the children and his colleagues. He was always very sensitive and supportive. An incredible person and always willing to give more.

I spent 3 human and intensive weeks within the organization association. I was able to meet incredible international volunteers who supported me with education and kindness. The missions were very interesting and I loved being in contact with the locals who left a mark in my heart forever. The apartment and shared accommodation were very pleasant. The management organized a farewell party for me, which really touched me. I recommend

Lohana is a very proactive, sensitive and kind person. She was in the Casa project and the elderly project. She helped in many ways: homework, home visits, sports and art workshops and above all giving a lot of attention and affection to those who need it.

Bernabe, Ingrid and the whole team made us feel very welcome at the organization. It's a real worth while project that the locals get great value from. The setup is great it just needs more people and more money to do more good for the local community. Andrew and Ingrid are people with very good attitudes, they integrated very well into the residence and the projects. They did many activities and helped the children with English workshops.

We volunteered for 1 week which was way too short! Bernabe and Ingrid run a really good sociable community charity. My husband Andy and I helped in the Casa project, an after school club for children aged 6-12 (approx). The children were so loving, so warm, funny and cheeky, well mannered and when our short week came to an end we were showered with lovely heart warming messages which made us choke. We lived in the volunteering house with the other volunteers and we all got on and went on a day trip and a night out together. I can truly recommend this charity and hope to go back one day.

This was my first experience with world packers! Volunteering with the organization was an amazing experience. Bernabé and Ingrid are fully committed to the organization and are fully engaged in its direct projects of as well as partnering up with other community projects. I worked alongside volunteers for a week and look forward to my next volunteer opportunity with the organization to be for a month. The children I worked with at Projecto Casa are vibrant, appreciative and loving. They have forever left a loving imprint in my heart!

Monica is a very hard-working person, she adapted very well to the reality of the projects and the volunteer residence. She is very empathetic, supportive and sensitive. La experiencia vivida en ExpandPeru a sido increíble, empezando por Ingrid y Bernabé que son unas personas maravillosas. Desde el primer momento me han tratado increíblemente bien y han sabido hacer que mi experiencia aquí haya sido gratificante. Los proyectos que te ofrecen son diferentes y con mucho impacto social. La responsabilidad que uno adquiere con cada proyecto es la suficiente como para involucrarte y sentirte parte del proyecto. La ciudad de Huancayo tiene muchas opciones para hacer todo tipo de actividades, salidas y excursiones. Mi experiencia en ExpandPeru ha sido un 10.

I can't say enough "thank you" for our amazing hosts or should I say my Peruvian family in Huancayo---- Ingrid and Bernabe, who are extremely welcoming, loving, and caring for every volunteer(and human being in general). This is my first volunteering experience, and I'm grateful that I was able to connect with this wonderful organization, and of course, the big hearted people in this organization. During the past one month, I was soaking in so many loving and precious connections that I will be forever grateful with.(I don't really speak Spanish. But it's okay, love transcends any languages :)

Sihan is a person with many qualities, extremely cheerful, very responsible, she got involved in different projects and worked very well on all of them, very dedicated, kind, tender and had a very good relationship with the team and group of volunteers at the residence.
