It was my first experience as a volunteer and I'm not disappointed! the hotel is a really nice and calm place in a small village in the countryside. I worked at the stables: I had to keep the place clean and feed the horses mainly. I even had the chance to ride many times, I'm so grateful for that! Maybe I would have liked the tasks to be more varied. The family is welcoming and the other volunteers were so friendly! I had a lot of free time which allowed me to visit cities all around. I'm now attached to this place and those sweet horses!Thank you for this experience!

The hotel was my first world packers experience. The area is beautiful but far away from the big cities however it's still doable to visit these places on your days off. The nearby towns such as Sammatz and Hitzacker are beautiful as well, you are able to visit them using the bikes provided. The work at the stables is simple and all the staff there are lovely. The hotel staff are also so kind and welcoming. However, it's the volunteers i lived and worked with who made the experience so amazing. Would completely recommend this experience and thankyou to the family for having me!

I loved my time at the hotel. It was one of the best decisions, I even stayed a month longer than I was planning. The volunteers that I worked and lived with were amazing and made friendships there that last a lifetime. The staff at the hotel and also in the stables are the most amazing people I've ever met. The kindest, most helpful people. I learned a lot, also because before this experience I've never worked in my life but since I could do it, I think it's a very good first job. The nature all around is beautiful with spectacular view in every direction. Lovely experience 🫶🏻

This was my first volunteer work. And the days I stayed at the farm were incredible. Very welcoming family. Unfortunately, I had to leave early for professional reasons in another country. But I would definitely go back. It's lovely to work with the horses. I recommend this experience to everyone.

The place is incredible surrounded by nature, you will have the freedom to walk, cycle in nature every day if you want, and also have contact with animals. But what makes this place special are the people, the family and workers at the farm/hotel are completely amazing and friendly with every volunteer, you will make good friends and eat good food! You can easily spend months in this place because of this energy and the work is kind of easy and fun. It's definitely a place you'll never forget.

I had an amazing time in the hotel,i learned a lot about multiple things and the locals are really nice i always felt welcome and comfortable to approach anybody if i had any type of problem . I want to thank the schulze family for everything and the staff for teaching me everything. It was an unforgettable 3 months that i will cherish forever. I highly recommend this experience for everyone.😄😄❤️

This was my first experience working with horses, and it was nice learning about them and how to interact with them, so no previous knowledge is required. At the stable, most of the interactions regarding training and daily tasks were with Theresa. She is a very sweet person who tries to make sure that everything is going well with the volunteers. I really enjoyed working with her. Also most of the people working at the stable and the hotel are Germans, so it's a good place to practice the language. If you want to be in a quiet place and go for walks in the nature, this is a great option.

Despite the good treatment received from the family, we consider that the work doesn't correspond to what volunteering should be. They treated us like workers. We were the only ones in charge of cleaning the entire hotel during July and they wanted us to sign some papers to "stabilize" our situation. We were not allowed to say that we worked/volunteered there if anyone asked us, so we felt our situation irregular. In addition, they can put you to work as a dishwasher in another business (25 minutes by bike). The review only leaves us with 600 characters, so tell us if you want our full review.

The first thing I would like to highlight was the closeness and kindness of the Schulze family, about which I have no complaints. Otherwise, I had to end my experience a month earlier than planned because things began to go wrong: disagreements began with the person in charge of the volunteers, who works in the stables. We had a meeting with those responsible to talk about the working conditions of the volunteers and from then on things got worse: bad faces, constant orders, incomprehension and 0 flexibility. I experienced some situations that made me end my experience earlier than planned.

We hope you had a safe journey home.
After speaking to you about working conditions and changing the weekly schedule for your interests we had the feeling the situation for yourself got better. We were suprised when you told us you will leave during the next day. So we didn´t have the change to make your experience last till the end like planned. Unfortunately it is very difficult to take care about every single issue while working in a team eventhough we thought we took a lot of care of your special private situation.
Nevertheless we wish you all the best and hope you keep on traveling and volunteering because we love to give young people the opportunity to experience culture, working, traveling etc.

Muy bien ambiente laboral, solo hace adecuar bien para las temporadas de invierno y verano las instalaciones y dinamizar el compromiso entre los voluntarios de hacer el aseo a sus instalaciones los cuales deben ser coordinados por el anfitrión dentro el horario laboral en todo lo demás excelente
