Like most of the other reviews I had an amazing time in the hostel. If you someone who likes to socialize and be close to the water I would %1000 recommend this place. I had so much fun and made so many lasting memories! As for the work it is very straightforward and easy. Hopefully I'll come back in the future!!

Volunteering at Gijón the hostel was one of the best experiences I've ever had! From day one, the team made me feel like part of the family. The atmosphere is super friendly, international, and full of positive energy — perfect for anyone who loves the surf lifestyle. As a surf instructor volunteer, I had the chance to teach amazing people from all over the world, improve my Spanish, and spend every day by the ocean. The hostel is well organized, and full of good vibes. The location is unbeatable — just a few minutes' walk from the beach and close to everything in Gijón.

This was my first time volunteering and I was very happy to meet such a great team. Every day there was fun and everyone was positive. I also learned some great surfing skills.

My time at the hostel was amazing! From day one, I felt like part of the family. I learned to surf, practiced my English, rode bikes and skateboards, went partying, did some hiking, and tried so many other fun activities. The hostel has such a great vibe, and the people there are just awesome. I'm leaving with so many friends, happy memories, and experiences I'll never forget. I'd definitely return to the hostel and the hostel! 🌊🏄‍♂️💙

I volunteered at Gijón the hostel for a month and it quickly became home, since day one I felt part of the family. Shifts were 5 hours a day and rotated, with 2 days off each week, so there was plenty of time to explore. I learned to surf, made amazing friends, and created so many memories. The hostel is a cozy house just a short walk to the coast, with bikes available anytime. Most days I spent walking, swimming, surfing, cooking with friends, or going out to the center. Gijón and the hostel will always have a piece of my heart, it was so fun and full of good vibes.

Tuve una experiencia increíble en el hostel, viví 4 semanas maravillosas con personas de varios países, tuve muchos intercambios, practiqué muchísimo mi español y veces también mi inglés. El horario de trabajo fue genial y todos en el hostel siempre fueron muy transparentes y muy atentos conmigo. Volvería sin dudarlo, vale muchísimo la pena vivir esta experiencia!

Llegar al hostel fue increíble, recomiendo y volvería a repetir la experiencia! 🫶🏼🐠 La casa es hermosa, tiene jardín y está ubicado a 5 minutos de la playa. Si te gusta la naturaleza, recomiendo hacer el paseo hasta playa la Ñora, es espectacular. Estar en el hostel es muy divertido,mis compañeros de voluntariado y manager fueron y son lo más, terminé mi voluntariado pero sigo yendo a visitarlos y compartir con ellos. También se crearon grupos muy lindos con huéspedes, momentos de cenar juntos, pastas, asado o pizzas, y música varias noches 💃. Llegue sola, y me voy con amigos🩵

I volunteered at Gijón the hostel taking care of the social media and it was such a fun and unforgettable experience! The team is super friendly and made me feel at home from the very first day. I got to do something I enjoy, improve my skills, and at the same time meet amazing people from all over the world. Spending my summer there was the best decision and I wouldn't change it for anything!

Gijón el hostel ha sido un lugar maravilloso para conectar con el surf y hacer amig@s, conocer asturias desde una forma local, hablar diferentes idiomas y disfrutar de las diferentes playas, crear comunidad y conexiones. Me ha encantado la experiencia en este lugar y me llevo un recuerdo muy bonito.
