My stay at the hostel in Budapest was absolutely phenomenal! I had the opportunity to volunteer on-site, assisting with guest check-in and check-out, as well as showcasing my talent as a tattoo artist. I was warmly welcomed by the hostel staff. They were incredibly hospitable and provided me with a rewarding experience as a volunteer. I had the chance to interact with guests, helping them settle in and providing information about the city. The hostel's location was excellent, situated in a central area of Budapest. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking to have a memorable experience

I love my experience in the hostel! You'll feel like part of a small and cozy family. The tasks are easy to do. Gabor and Olga the owner are friendly and flexible with the schedule. I feel so lucky and grateful for their flexibility and my activities in Budapest. Also, I meet my "amigos" Hisham and Ahmad who are so fun! You'll share many laughs with them. They are part of the staff too! Ps: The location of the hostel is perfect! ;) Write me if you want to know more about my experience :)

I loved my time in the hostel. The tasks were easy, and I liked having lots of contact with the guest. I was fine with the hours, but you work a lot for what you get. You have to be present in the hostel for almost 40 hours a week. I think this is a bit to much to ask for only a free sleeping space. But like I said, it didn't bother me. I really miss the hostel family and it still is the best hostel experience I had.

Thanks for your feedback, MArit, we miss you too!
On the days you were on shift, you breezed through almost the whole to-do list before anyone was up, so I understand that staying in for an extra few hours (which never exceeded the hours that we agreed on beforehand) may have seemed a bit long for you. Especially since Budapest was just a brief stop-over before your big adventure. Most helpers stay a bit longer and enjoy some downtime where they can sit around reading, knitting a scarf, doing online jobs, watching movies or planning out programs for the next day :)

To potential hosts>>Marit has an exceptionally dynamic and efficient approach to tasks while socializing is absolutely essential to her, so she's a perfect fit for most jobs.

Such a small, cozy and beautiful little hostel! You can have the best of both worlds here, go party or have a nice and relaxed atmosphere. As is the same with the people that are there, you will meet all kinds of new traveller's as well as some long term guests that can give you all the best advice for budapest! A big shout out for my host, Ana, who is incredibly kind and helpful. A very beautiful and bright soul that is always willing to help with anything and am so grateful with her being there. Thank you for the happy memories in partying and games. Loved it! Hope to see you all again soon!
