My days at the guest house were nice! The staff is like a family and the house is comfortable. My job was basically housekeeping, cleaning and helping at guests breakfast. Cristina is an amazing person, sometimes very agitated but full of kindness. My schedule was from 8am to 1pm or 10am to 3pm. I stayed in the main house near to Alvor beach. Thank you Cristina, Fabio, Nat, Julian, Pitu and Sarka for this days at this small paradise called Alvor!

Si buscas un voluntariado donde sentirte util, aquí es. Trabajas en la mañana y las horas se respetan, luego tienes toda la tarde para ti. Alvor es una localidad pequeña y tranquila muy bella. Con una playa preciosa y refrescante. La acomodación del voluntariado tiene buenas instalaciones, no hay horno así que aprender a cocinar en microondas o con sartén. Los otros voluntarios son agradables pero si es un ambiente de trabajo por lo que hay que respetar los horarios de silencio. El trabajo si es duro, si no estas acostumbrado puede llegar a ser agotador.

La casa fué mas de lo que imaginaba. Por ser mi primer voluntariado y no saber con qué me iba a encontrar solo estuve una semana y realmente me hubiese quedado mas tiempo si no hubiese tenido mis días posteriores organizados. La pasé super bien desde el primer día. Conocí personas increibles y me impactó mucho lo hermoso que es Alvor, pequeño pero lleno de vida😍 Mención aparte la hermosa playa que tiene. Las horas de trabajo y mi día libre se respetaron y pude hacer lo que quise el resto del día, que es muy largo pues primavera/verano💜 Mi deseo es volver pronto💫🐚🌊

Alvor es un lugar muy hermoso que honestamente nos sorprendió muchísimo, fue una excelente experiencia, lo combinado con el anfitrión se cumple totalmente y las instalaciones son muy buenas, 100% recomendado. Muchas gracias a Cristina, Joaquim y a todo el staff.

Muchas gracias a los anfitriones Cristina y Joaquín por su apoyo en todo y a todos los voluntarios que pude conocer durante mi estadía, me sentí muy cómodo y tranquilo en las instalaciones y en Alvor en general, una ciudad pequeña pero muy hermosa. Las tareas son diversas, hay mucho por hacer y aprender, espero volver pronto, que Dios los bendiga.

Es un bonito lugar, las actividades son fáciles, se cumplen los horarios y las condiciones del voluntariado. Las actividades varían entre limpieza, organización de Guesthouse, recoger frutos y jardinería. Cristina tiene una gran energía y Joaquín es buena gente.

Christina was so welcoming and lovely though our whole stay. The guest house is nice but there is not a functioning kitchen. However the breakfast each morning were still very good. Volunteering at the end of the season was a bit boring at times but the people who were there made it interesting and fun. The worst most days was fairly straight forward and often never took more the three hours. Plenty of free time to explore the surrounding area. Alvor and is absolutely beautiful place.

This was my first time volunteering in a hostel. Alvor is a beautiful place, the beach was only a 10 min walk away. The work I did was mainly cleaning the rooms and I worked from 10 am to 2 pm. I shared my room and a small bathroom with four other nice volunteers. Be prepared that mqny of them speak Portugese. Sometimes I wished there would have been more volunteers around my age (around 20). For breakfast you get some food but you only have a microwave to cook, which was a bit challenging, but you get creative after some time. :) All in all it was a great experience that you should not miss.
