This experience was my first volunteering experience, and it set the standards high. Michelle and Thomas were kind and welcoming and made me feel like I was a part of the family. The hours were not strenuous and my time was respected. I had lots of spare time to explore local areas and immerse myself in the culture and experience. I would recommend volunteering at the guest house to any traveller. Many thanks :) :)

This was our first worldpackers experience, and I believe it built solid grounds on what to expect during these experiences. We absolutely loved it. The Quinta itself is very beautiful, the work is fair and reasonable. Never felt like we were being overworked or that our work wasn't appreciated. Michelle and Thomas are people with a nice sense of humour, they manage the place very well and made sure we felt included, of course, saying hi to Thomas' dog Ollie in the mornings put a smile on our faces everyday. Hope to come back here sometime soon!😋

What can we say about Michalle and Thomas! They were absolutely amazing ! We learned a lot about the area and the culture while staying there ! The car was helpful and the room was perfect , also Friday night with the kids was a great idea 🍕 The only thing we wish we had known before coming is that we have to work on other aspects than social media but we talked to Michalle about the situation and she managed to handle it professionally and with all respect 🥰 Planing to come back with our future kids for sure Thank you for everything and we wish we could give more to the place

This was my first volunteer experience as well as my first international trip. Michelle and Tomas set the bar high. The location was so beautiful and peaceful. My accommodations were cozy and comfortable. The lunches were very good and different all the time. Michelle sent me so many recomendations of where to go and what to see, I had a blast exploring the suggestions offered. The work was consistent and fair. Michelle and Tomas was such a pleasure to work for. I look forward to returning to Quinta Japonase in the future.

Oh this lovely experience, I will always recommend it! It offers a real contact with nature, comfortable housing, amazing place and beautiful people. They made me feel like family and gave me great tasks to follow, I felt comfortable during the whole time and learned a lot. As I visited during low season, contact with guests was minimum and some of my social media tasks were changed to helping with remodeling, driving or even helping cleaning. It is far in the mountains, and driving is almost a must. I will come back, this place really have a special place in my heart.

Michelle and Thomas were good hosts. The place I stayed at was super nice and clean. The drive into the city was a little bit of a bummer but other than that the town was super nice and pretty.

Michelle and Thomas are really nice and hard working people. They were very helpful with everything we need! I stayed in Casa Tavares a Villa for Digital Nomads :) the guest house is a very nice place located in a rural area 20-30 minutes from main beaches so it's great to have a car so you can move around. Regarding to the tasks I helped with Communication and Marketing, and I really wish that this mini resort could be enjoyed for many people because it's worthwhile! Hope to come back next year to visit them! I really wish them the best!
