The best experience I've ever had! When I arrived, I was well taken care of and shared a room with other volunteers. I always got good hours and my days off were respected in the four weeks that followed. The work was exactly as they had described it, and it was not difficult. The other members of staff and volunteers were extremely helpful and friendly. I had the opportunity to explore the city and participate in various tours offered by the hostel. I wish I could have stayed a little longer. I'd like to thank everyone who helped make this month memorable. <3

El hostel ha sido mi casa! Es un lugar que tiene una energía muy especial construida por todos los staff que trabajan allí y que me han tratado con un cariño especial. Todos tienen luz, te ayudan, te acogen y te tratan como de la familia.Fue mi primer voluntariado y repetiría mil veces más! El ambiente con el resto de voluntarios ha sido buenísimo, me llevo grandes amistades de Río!En cuanto al trabajo solo puedo dar las gracias a Felipe por confiar tanto en mí y ponérmelo todo tan fácil!!! Respetan absolutamente todo lo acordado y siempre tienen sorpresas para ti! el hostel💚💛

At the hostel, I had an amazing experience. I had a variety of tasks as a cleaner, including cleaning the shared kitchen and the rooms. It was pleasant work, and if you have any questions, you can always get in touch with the staff. The people, though, made my visit the greatest! You'll feel right at home with the other WPs, the travelers and the staff (especially Felipe!). You can also take part in a multitude of activities! Unfortunately, I had to leave earlier because I wasn't feeling well physically, but I will surely return! Thus, I advise everyone to da work exchange at this hostel!

My time at the hostel was unforgettable! A special thanks to Felipe, Victor, Michelle, Sergio and Atlas for helping me settle in and making the hostel feel like home during my time here. Felipe is a class host. He is extremely approachable and does all he can to ensure the Worldpackers are happy. During my stay here, I met some wonderful human beings. Whether that was staff, volunteers or just other travellers. I feel very lucky to have met such kindhearted people and they were part of the reason I had such a terrific time here. Don't think twice about volunteering here! Value Papai the hostel!

Volunteer in the hostel was awesome I meet people that become brothers and sisters for life. Working there was a pleasure because everyday something new happens to me l. Thinking about my experience here I never had a bad day staying at the hostel. Thank you everyone who make stay a unforgettable memory in my life.

This was my second experience in PuraVida as a volunteer, and this time was during the Carnival period, so high season. In the limpeza (housekeeping) work the hotness in the morning can be your enemy for the first days, but everything is well organized and the staff and Felipe are always comprehensive. Obviously, staying in PuraVida, you can enjoy the parties even better, meeting new people there, following the schedule of the hostel, which always has something fun for you. People who works with you are generally open minded and funny, so it's very easy to make a group! Recommended 😎😎

I really enjoyed My stay at the hostel. i thought the manager Felipe was an excellent host and super friendly, i appreciated him a lot. the hostel itself is pretty cool and is safe. There are always events on and the rest of the volunteer staff is lovely. i was there 6 weeks, which felt like a long time (especially being a shared dorm) so towards the end,my social battery was pretty drained.

First I want to start by saying thank you Felipe & the hostel!!! This truly felt like a dream and at times, the people and the vibes here are unmatched and it's going to be hard trying to find that again. Now, about the work I was part of the cleaning staff and all the work is do-able just know that some days you will be tired but you exactly work 25 hours a week - not a minute more & not a minute less. If you do work more just let Felipe know and it'll get fixed (that I really appreciate). Overall, my stay here was great and I will be back!!! Once again, thank you the hostel/Brasil. MUITO BOM!
