I can recommend this volunteering 100% I felt welcomed from the first minute on, they gave me a proper introduction on how to do everything, they prepare a schedule for the next week so you know in advance when your days off are going to be and the working hours are respected. The work is easy but if you have any questions they will always help you The hostel itself is great to meet people from all over the world, it's very clean and the kitchen is soo well equipped!! Bri and Adrian and the other volunteers were super nice, it really felt like a home the whole time thanks for everything :)

Una de las mejores experiencias de mi vida!! Muy agradecida con Adri y Bri por su hospedaje, desde que llegas te sientes en casa. Es un excelente lugar para hacer tu primera experiencia. Las tareas son sencillas y fácil de aprender. Conectas con la naturaleza y puedes conocer a mucha gente que se vuelven amigos para la vida Que los éxitos los sigan persiguiendo Adri y Bri!! Aquí se siente ese calor hogareño gracias a las lindas personas que están allí y lo hacen posible. Bri y Adri son grandes personas, amistosos, cariñosos y atentos. Con ellos se aprende incluso sobre la diferencia que marca empezar el día con creatividad y colores en la oficina :) hasta la historia de comidas típicas como el "casado". Mari, también es una persona genial y con disposición de siempre ayudar. Agradecida por la oportunidad que brindan de conocer su cultura, gente local y sobre su rubro en hostel, aprender inglés y vivir en un gran espacio y ambiente. Experiencia hermosa, gracias <3

This was my first volunteer experience, and I can honestly say it has set the bar really high! Bri & Adrian are amazing people. They have put so much love & hard work into this place. They also take such great care of their staff & guests. The housekeepers Nati & Mary are the sweetest and keep the place spotless. The maintenance man Louis is always working hard at making improvements around the hostel (not that it needs much!). The environment here just always feels comfortable, and much like a family. The staff dorm is great with comfy beds and privacy curtains. Living the pura vida life!

El hostel un hogar para mí. así lo podría describir! Bri y Adri son los mejores anfitriones, me hicieron sentir como en casa. El trabajo y los horarios son lo acordado, son variables pero cómodos para organizarte planes fuera del trabajo y las tareas son fáciles. Por mi parte estoy más que agradecida por la disposición de Bri y Adri por darme la confianza y el espacio para aprender inglés que fue uno de mis mayores desafíos. Pura vida 🤗🦥

This was an incredible experience. Bri is so gentle with everybody and will make sure you feel at home. I applied for social media and ended up doing reception but it was okay for me. You can practice a lot your Spanish like I did and you can da lot of activities around La Fortuna: you even have discounts because you are a volunteer!

I am absolutely happy about my stay in Palacio's the hostel! Everything was as expected and the working hours and tasks were respected. The volunteers are working at the reception, 5 hours per day 5 times per week. Bri, the manager, was the best. Even when I got sick she respected that and made me ginger tea. The team speaks mostly Spanish so it's nice to increase your knowledge. I would recommend this position if you speak good English and be willing to learn more Spanish, enjoy to socialize with people and love to do hikes and outdoorsy stuff. Gracias!

I had a lot of fun during my stay at the hostel. I got to connect with the other volunteers and guests while also learning a lot about working in and running a hostel. All in all an amazing experience

The hostel fue una casa para mi y Bri y Adrian fueron muy buenos conmigo. Me sentí en mi casa en el hostal y me llevo los lugares y las personas que conocí en mi corazón. Recomiendo mucho elegir este lugar. Espero visitarlos pronto✨❤️
