Help our hostel in Beppu, hot spring city!

I enjoyed my stay here so much!!! I am extremely grateful for this experience. I would love to come back to Beppu. Everyone was so friendly & kind. The hosts were so generous for letting us borrow bikes our entire stay. People would always gather in the kitchen, sharing meals & talk about their travels ~ it was very wholesome. It felt so comfortable, like a home away from home. the hostel experience at this guesthouse was so relaxing ☺️ I would 100% recommend staying & visiting here. I would love to come back.

I really enjoyed staying at hamayu the hostel! The tasks were easy and the room lovely! Beppu is amazing with all the beautiful nature (ocean, hills, beach, the hostel) and has a very relaxing vibe! I would definitely come back!

Unfortunately I had to end my experience at the hostel early due to the death of a family member back home. While I only stayed for four days, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. The location is very convenient and I was treated very well upon my arrival and throughout the three shifts that I completed. The facilities are basic, it is nice to have a private room and access to an the hostel whenever you want. Beppu is a quiet town and I hope to return to it one day.

I had a nice stay at the hostel Hamayu Nagi. Got and Masa are super friendly owners. The 9 hours volunteering per week are easy to fulfill and there is a lot of free time to explore Beppu and the surroundings. Perfect for the hostel and nature lovers, but not really a place to get in touch with locals. I stayed in a private single room – a bit worn out, but comfortable. You can use the bicycles and the hostel of the hostel for free. Thanks for the experience.

I stayed at the hostel for 3 weeks. It was super chill, the working hours are few and the days off are often scheduled in a row which is awesome for trips. The staff is very nice and helpful and the other helpers were great. I got a single room which is quite a luxury while doing work and travel and I appreciated a lot. Having said that, the place is quite rundown and I felt uncomfortable with the general lack of cleanliness of the place. Maybe in future, helpers could help with that on top of housekeeping.

If you like city life and you want to try a lot of the hostel it's a nice place. The seaside is very beautiful in the evening ! There is some places to visit near (Kisuki, Yufuin village, the hells of Beppū etc) I had a good time there, the owners was very kind ! My coworkers was very funny and we did some things together. Thank you for everything :)

Masatoshi was a chill and nice guy to work for! I would have given 5⭐ if he was solely in charge! but unfortunately there was a second manager I didn't like as much 👎. When I worked under Masatoshi I was free to go once my work was done. I would usually finish around 30 to 45 min early, because I work efficiently and just give 💯 power. No problems! the other manager would take the time you finish early and add to a different day... so to summarize: DON'T FINISH EARLY WITH THE SECOND MANAGER, JUST BE SLOW!

I have fun in this guesthouse. The task is easy an not too long. I have a lot of time to explore this place. Owner is kind and friendly. There is a hot spring in the house. It's really nice.

We spent a very fun and interesting time here. The host was very kind and always available in case we needed help. The job was new to us, but it was very easy and fun. The accomodatiom itself is very nice and we could experience the hostel, which of course is a characteristic of Beppu. We were also able to visit the whole area and all the beautiful places that this area offers, and this made the experience even more fun and unforgettable. We will come back for sure and I'm so grateful of this experience that the host made possible for us. :)
