Help our hostel in Beppu, hot spring city!

I had a great time volunteering here. The work hours are short, which leaves plenty of time to explore the area. I was lucky to have my own room, but even the dorm room is very nice! The beds are comfy, and yes, the hostel is quite old, but it didn't bother me too much. The managers, Masatoshi and Got, are very chill and friendly! Beppu is small but pleasant little town, and you can da few day trips from here. Unfortunately travelling around Kyushu without a car can be quite expensive and time consuming, but I will be back another time :)

Great place to explore Kyushu from. You will likley volunteer 4 days in a row and then have 3 off. Work can be 45 minutes to 2 hours, potentially longer but it never happened for me. Masatoshi and Got are great hosts. They are happy to help with whatever. Beppu is busier than I expected. Plently to do, bit comfortable places to relax around the hostel too. 10/10 sunsets.

Beppu is a really nice place with plenty of things to do ! The schedule will allow you to visit a lot !

I throughly enjoyed my time in beppu! The hostel is in an ideal location and the Oita prefect itself is amazing for exploring nature, it's definitely more of a chilled back relaxing vibe but there is always something to do! Masatoshi and Got were both really helpful and welcoming, answering any questions we needed and gave us good recommendations! The work was incredibly fair and easy and we were finished within a couple hours most days. The general cleanliness of the hostel wasn't the best but nothing major at all! It was a great experience to meet new people and I really enjoyed my time :)

I had a great time at the hostel. It is well located, near Beppu Tower, the beach and not far from Beppu station. Working hours are fair and we use to finish early, so more free time for us. Just keep in mind the hostel is a bit older. Thanks to Got who was super kind and willing to help me with whatever I needed!

My 3-week stay in Beppu was absolutely amazing. It is truly a piece of heaven. The accomodation is in a great location near Beppu Tower, very close to Beppu Station. The chores are easy and straightforward, and Masa is there to help you with anything you need. You can get free bike for the day, and use the hostel there which is very nice. I also recommend to check Beppu Wander Compass to get tailored recommendations and maps for Beppu (it helped me a lot navigating through the onsens and places to visit). Incredible views, also there are 2 mountains that can be hiked, so plenty of things to do.

I had a really good time in Beppu even though the start was rough because the previous volunteers left the place in a bad shape. After clearing up their mess I had a cozy place to sleep though. Work hours are fair and sometimes we were able to finish ahead of schedule so we had more free time. Ideas to improve the hotel where always welcomed and it was fun to help with it. Both owners are very nice people and welcoming. Worth to mention is also the hostel in the hotel which was nice to have. Beppu is a nice town with a lot to explore in and around the city. Nature is also gorgeous.

Working here will give you the chance to hang out with other volunteers and meet both local and international guests. The workload is reasonable —and flexible, depending on how strict you are with hygiene— and schedules respected, so you'll have plenty of free time to explore the area. Also, the almost-private the hostel is very relaxing after a long day!
