I had an amazing time in Valle at the hostel and love this town. Overall Carlos was very good at communicating and would respond to messages quickly, which I appreciate. However he would often give the schedule a day or two before you had to work so it could be hard to plan your week and I told him about mold in one of the bathrooms multiple times and it never got cleaned. If you plan on doing reception you will need to know conversational Spanish. I love community the feel in the hostel but the volunteer room is tiny and he even put 7 people in there once and often guests slept with us.

We had a good experience volunteering at the hostel. Although the hostel is mainly run by volunteers, there is a homely feel about it, as we all helped each other. Beware if you are claustrophobic or do not enjoy living in tiny places, this experience might not be for you. There is a nice rooftop you can hang out at too. The tasks are simple and easy and there is plenty of time for you to explore the surroundings of Valle de Bravo too! We also got discounts on tours as well as commission for selling guests tours. I would only perhaps comment on how late our shifts were addressed.

Had a great time volunteering, made lots of friends and memories , the work is very relaxed, made commission from selling tours, and discounts on tours... Keep in mind the hostel is very small and the dorm is very small. However, the terrace is great, though, I felt there was a lack of communication between the host and volunteers, as the volunteers run the hostel, shifts were released too late in the evening.

El hostel es un lugar muy bonito con una hermosa vista y muy cercas del centro, está rodeado de cafeterías y restaurantes además de ser un lugar que constantemente recibe gente de todos lados así que nunca falta la buena compañía, como contra diría que las tareas a veces son un poco pesadas y la comunicación con el anfitrión fue buena pero por celular rara vez lo vi, los lockers no siempre ajustan y no tienen candado, hay varias cosas a mejorar pero en general me encanto la experiencia y me divertí mucho, me llevo un hermoso recuerdo, ganas de volver y muchos nuevos amigos.

A smaller relaxing Hostal about 2.5 hours outside of CDMX. Juan Carlos as well as the other volunteers are very nice, accommodating, and flexible to your schedule. Good Hostal if you wish to stay in a little bit of a quieter area and practice your Spanish

Fue Mi primera experiencia como voluntaria fue excelente la verdad que todo fue muy fluido los tiempos de tareas y días libres, pude conocer mucho valle de bravo un lugar hermoso, con mucha cultura y personas increíbles. Carlos el anfitrión fue muy amable y relajado. Se los recomiendo.. está hostal además está muy cerca de centro histórico y lago que es muy hermoso. Chilena.

Fue mi primera experiencia como voluntaria y fue muy padre, la verdad es que tanto Carlos como Lalo se portaron muy bien con mi pareja y conmigo, Lalo nos enseñó muchas cosas y pudimos conocer gente de otros paises y de otras partes de México, compartiendo y haciendo amigos. De todos aprendimos mucho y expandimos nuestra visión. Un lugar hermoso para comenzar la experiencia de viajar como voluntario. the hostel es un hogar para los voluntarios como para los huéspedes.

El hostel fue una maravillosa experiencia para mí. El ambiente de los voluntarios es muy cálido, Fernando es muy claro en las tareas que se tienen que llevar a cabo, los horarios y días de trabajo y de descanso se respetaron, el cuarto de voluntarios es muy cómodo y en general se siente un ambiente muy bonito. Además el hostel es muy limpio y está súper cerca del centro de Valle de Bravo
