Detalhes

Viva la Vida Family is a very engaging and dynamic project.
Volunteers are in charge of teaching English to the youngest children attending our two cultural centres, two hours in the morning and two in the afternoon, and also one hour in the evening in the orphanage center.
The rest of the time the volunteers help to prepare the lessons, the school programs and all the activities. They also spend time with the children and the young people living in our foster home. We do also a lot of creative activities, environmental and recycling workshops, sport games or boardgames to help them develop other skills.

Weekends are always free, but you're welcome to spend time with the children or go on tours of the nearby areas with the older teenagers of the house who are learning to be tour guides.

Atividades & Turnos

A typical day looks like this.
Volunteers have breakfast around 7, the our staff bring them to our cultural centres for the lessons and activities.
In the first cultural center the activities are from 8 to 10 am and to 2 to 4 pm, and volunteers have lunch in the foster home. In the evening some volunteers hold English lessons at the orphanage center for one hour from 5 to 6 pm, or from 6 to 7 pm.
In the second cultural center the activities are from 9 am to 3 pm, with one hour for lunch time.
Other volunteers can help in the foster home with private English lessons, office and management tasks, maintenance and activities with children.

The schedule can obviously change due to inconveniences or other urgent things to do.

On sundays we sometimes organize sport games or a football match, you can also spend the day relaxing or going out for a trip or visit something around.
