My volunteering experience at the hostel was beyond expectations: the tasks are easy and well explained, the work schedule is optimal and you have a lot of free time to go to the beach, go surfing, or chill on the beautiful rooftop, where I saw the best sunsets ever; the hostel is just amazing, the manager Max is very nice and easygoing :) I'm grateful I had the opportunity to volunteer here, it's a magical place, all the people I shared this experience with hold a special place in my heart <3 Thank you the hostel!

I loved my time in this hostel ! It was my first experience volunteering and it was perfect. I directly felt like home. The other volunteers, the manager, the owner and the guests are awesome. The place is great and perfectly located. The work is not difficult but never boring. I had enough free time to explore the island, socialize with guests and rest. I am really glad that I could live this experience, I can only recommend it, all my love to the hostel and thanks for everything ❤️

La experiencia mi brindo la posibilidad de conocer grandes personas y tener una experiencia completa. Me gustaría informar a los interesados de este hostal que no van a respetar su acuerdo de estadía (yo había acordado más de 2 meses y nada más llegar me informaron que solo estaría 3 semanas) así que no les recomiendo su billete de vuelta comprado ya su acuerdo de voluntariado no va a valer nada. En cuanto al alojamiento la habitación de los voluntarios es muy pequeña, y la cama es súper incomoda. Por el resto es una experiencia increíble por el ambiente de la isla y la playa.

Gracias por tu reseña tan honesta y sencilla. La respeto y lamento mucho que la experiencia no te gustó al final, aunque en persona me decías lo contrario. Ademas, me gustaría responder a las quejas que has mencionado en tu reseña.

1) si, la habitacion para los voluntarix es pequeña y lo mencionamos en el mensaje, cuando te aceptamos, y mencionamos que ibas a compartir el cuarto con otras 3 personas. Perdón por mo cumplir tus expectativas.

2) sobre la estancia de 2 meses, donde al final te has quedado por 3 semanas.
No es verdad, porque, en primer lugar, te quedaste por el mes entero desde el 05/05 hasta el 07/06, incluso, no trabajaste la ultima semana y te quedabas en la habitacion para los huéspedes completamente gratis con el compromiso de arreglar el van del hostal, que nunca hiciste.

En segundo lugar, como te expliqué en persona, te aceptamos principalmente por 1 mes con la opción de prolongar hasta 2, si te apetece y si hay hueco. Nunca me has mencionado que querías quedarte por mas tiempo, incluso te fuiste antes, porque has encontrado un trabajo (que me parece genial),
pero...
Al parecer, tu pensabas que tu estancia no se acabó aún cuando no estabas de voluntario y tenias trabajo, porque venias siempre para echarte una siesta en nuestro salón, tomar cerveza en la terraza y utilizar otras instalaciones del hostal cuando te daba la gana, sin preguntar a nadie.

En total, con el comportamiento que tuviste y poca calidad de trabajo que hiciste, tu reseña, en mi opinion personal, no me parece muy justa, especialmente, en comparación con la experiencia de otras personas.

Solo estuve una semana en el hostel porque tuve un accidente y no pude continuar mi estadía allí. 😅 Pero durante esos días me sentí muy bien, tanto los voluntarios como los huéspedes son buenas personas y súper simpáticos. Los horarios de trabajo y las tareas son sencillas y no demasiado duras. Siempre hay respeto y buen rollo. Darle las gracias a Max por todo! Espero poder volver pronto! ❤️🙏🏼

Staying at the hostel was such an experience! It was my first volunteering program and I would definitely repeat the experience. I love the place and the great team we had there. I had the chance to get to know too many people from all around the globe and share time with them in the amazing rooftop. The work was not really demanding and we had a lot of free time to discover and enjoy the island. If I had to propose any improvements I would say that the surf classes could happen more often or otherwise change the description here in the worldpackers page. Anyway, I totally recommend it😛

I had a very good time at the hostel. I felt very welcome and quickly got to know many nice people. The work was mostly as agreed. Sometimes we had to work more or da check-in outside the agreed working hours. The communication in the team was sometimes difficult because the manager was not always available. In addition, there were no bicycles available. Nevertheless, I had a lot of time to go surfing, exploring the island or chilling at the beach. I spent many hours on the Rooftop and miss this time already. I would do it again for sure!!!!

Hello and thank you for your review. If you feel that you work more hours or something isnt as you think it should be Im always at your disposal. You can always write and call. Manager is not 24h, and tasks are clearly stated in our worker manuals for each day and even divided on shift hours. We are sorry you didnt get bikes for free, unfortunately as you probably know other staff member left bikes unlocked at the entrance and they simply got stolen. We were happy to host you and good luck on your yourneys.

I never got to meet the owner of the hostel. I was told to leave the next day while still in training. The management was a disaster
