An amazing first experience on WorldPackers. The team were welcoming and friendly and the place felt like home very quickly. The hostels are well equipped and the housekeeping tasks are straightforward and well managed in a small team. Exploring the town and the islands close by was a fantastic way to spend days/afternoons off and the team have so much information about things to do in the area. Thanks so much!

Volunteering in the hostel, Scotland was an unforgettable experience that I'll cherish forever. The light workloads allowed for a perfect balance between meaningful contribution and time to explore the breathtaking scenery. The team's positivity and camaraderie made every moment enjoyable. everyone was welcoming, supportive, and full of good cheer. A heartfelt mention goes to Lynn, whose kindness and dedication made everything run so smoothly. With easy ferry access to nearby islands like Mull, Iona, and Kerrera, every free day felt like a new adventure.

I had a great time volunteering in the hostel! It's a small, charming town with easy access to nearby islands through the ferry port, and a nearby bus and train station if you want to go anywhere else. If you like hiking and nature, you'll have a lot of fun exploring the area. The work was relaxed with flexible scheduling, planned together so you could balance tasks and free time. I arrived near the end of the season, so things were quieter as the town started winding down, but it was still really enjoyable. The hostel is old, but it's getting renovations this year!

Lynnon & Barney were amazing managers and made the experience better, i would 100% work with them again. I met some of the best people here (locals&volunteers). it's a pretty and peaceful town and the islands are very nice

My experience in the hostel was perfect. I got to meet other travelers and locals. The volunteer team were really friendly, and Lynn is an amazing manager, helpful and caring. The enviroment was very wellcoming, relaxed and fun at the same time. I also got to explore one of the islands which was an amazing experience! I will defenetly not forget my time in the hostel :)

The hostel is one of my favorite places in Scotland. The location is located on the coast and beautiful. Everything that you need is within reasonable walking distance. The management of the hostel is welcoming to volunteers from all over the world. Accommodation is cosy, and friendships develop quickly. The required work hours involve cleaning, laundry/folding, bed making, and night porter….nothing too demanding. There is the opportunity to meet international guests, always a plus. All and all, a memorable and pleasant experience.

Lyn welcomed me extremely well and warmly. The work is easy-going, the hostel is really nice and very well located. Lyn makes you feel like a friend from the very first moment and is always available for any questions or situations. the hostel is a lively and charming town. Unfortunately, I couldn't stay for long, but I will definitely come back 💖

10/10 experience for us! We were instantly welcomed into the hostel, and the hostel was very social, even as the off season began. The common area made a great place to meet new people - or beat Lynn's a$$ at pool 🎱😛 Roster was made weekly and Lynn was very considerate of volunteers days off, making it easy to plan day trips. We got £35 every week for food allowance and free breakfast 🕺 Lynn is the best manager you could ask for and will make you feel right at home, and we wish we could have stayed longer :( Thank you for having us Lynn we miss you ❤️

I am so happy to have found this particular hostel for my first official Worldpackers experience. I had never worked at a hostel before and instantly felt welcomed and at home here. It's a very social and friendly atmosphere. The work is fair and the location is hard to beat. On days off it's easy to go explore or even just after your morning chores. I would highly recommend this place and the people. :)

Volunteering at the hostel turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences I've had this summer. The team I was volunteering with were all so fun and lovely to be around. There is a lot to do in such a small town, I'm sad I wasn't able to stay longer!
