It was my first experience on worldpackers & it was great! Ovick, his family and colleagues were so nice, connective and welcoming 🥰 I loved the whole experience from the first day to the last, we had really good conversations about everything and he was really flexible to make my stay as comfortable as possible! The school experience was also amazing because the range of different students (elementary school, high school, kindergarten teachers). It would have been nice to have more classes but at my time sadly it was not possible. So I had the morning with his kids or for myself. Thank you🙏

I loved my time with E-Fun. Ovick is amazing and I feel so lucky to have learned from him. I was worried about some of the public speaking and Ovick was incredibly accommodating and understanding to what I was able to do, which I really appreciated. I loved getting to know his family and Klaten and the teachers and students at E-Fun. I hope to visit again someday! If anyone has any questions about the experience, please feel free to reach out :)

The host is kind and easy to talk to. Staff at EFun are incredibly welcoming. However, I don't think the media position is much needed at the place. Tasks were a bit random. No activities were arranged for me outside of work (for 2 weeks) until two other volunteers came. Then, the host took us to swim and make cakes. It could be a fun experience if you like to teach; you're not the only volunteer; you don't mind tropical insects. Accomodation-wise, you need to adapt to the heat (no AC), and you need to like small kids. Overall, it was an interesting, immersive experience of the local culture.

I am so grateful I did this volunteering. First of all having the opportunity to meet Ovick's entire family was something I'm very grateful for. Their kids are so cute and sweet, it was beautiful to share daily moments with them and immerse in the way they live. The staff at the institute is just amazing, every single person I met was a beautiful human being. Being able to share my experiences, my culture and my knowledge with both the students at the institute and the students I had the possibility to met at the two public schools we went to was an experience that touched my heart.

I had an amazing time with Ovik and his family. They were so welcoming and friendly - Ovik drove me around to tourist attractions and his favourite local restaurants, couldn't have asked for a better host. The work is fun and really rewarding.

My time in Klaten was amazing!!! I was volunteering in the E Fun institute for two weeks and it was a super nice experience. I definitely had the opportunity to get known the real local life in Jawa. Ovick, his wife, Oma and the three daughters were lovely and always welcoming. I am happy to had the opportunity to live with them for two weeks. Also the teachers and students from the institute were nice and it was a lot of fun!!! I hope to see all of you again one day! :)

This experience has been mind blowing to me. I had enough free time to explore the City and it's surroundings (many historical temples, waterparks, waterfalls and pretty coffee shops) but also experience the real Jawanese Culture and people which was my main goal. Ovick and his family taught me so many things and I'm very grateful for it. They are also very open minded and caring. Thanks for everything. ♥️

I enjoyed my time at EFun! With being an English teacher, it was really nice to do some actual the school with the students since a lot of schools I've volunteered at mostly just hold Q&A to help students practice speaking. I love conversational English, but it was so much nicer to help students improve their speaking on relevant topics instead of only talking about my favourite colour. I was also happy that I could lead classes as well as private lessons. Not really a down side, but it would have been nice to know beforehand that 90% of the time I'd have to book a Grab to the school.

What a great experience for those who search for a local immersion! Ovick is an thoughful and kind host, with a beautiful family. I stayed for 2 weeks in his house while helping with producing content at the english school. For the first time, I was acting on the videos and not producing them. It was challenging but interesting experiencing to have as videomaker and photographer. The accomodation was decent and the working envoiroment lovely. Travelers note: ask for clarification about food and transport to work before you accept. I highly recommend it!
