Wonderful place to have my first volunteer, it helps to truly learn about harvesting food and environmental consciousnesses the people there help you feel at home, food is also great. A great experience to learn about human connections and also connect with nature and animals. It makes you connect with people you wouldn't normally connect with but it's so nice and insightful. The host is super understanding and flexible. The activity's were a bit hard Althought with nature and with the people there you recharge energy pretty fast. I think the experience is full of learning in all aspects.

The project is a project with a lot of potential lead by really passionate people. I learned about harvesting and how to use our own resources for compost, and I got to spend some time with the goats :) Since the place is a bit isolated, there were not many activities to do on our free time but, whenever it was possible, we did some cool movement sessions in the yoga room!

My favorite part of this experience was the people I met. I was able to see them again when we left the farm and form really meaningful connections with people from all over. However, the tasks were not at all what I thought they'd be. As a disclaimer, I was only there a few days, but I left because all the friends I had made were leaving and I didn't really want to stay there alone. They were building a bamboo structure, so all I really did was wash bamboo and plastic. The vibe was also a bit off between the host and volunteers. Beautiful place though!

I would say the project was a good experience overall. There was a strong community in the volunteers, our workday tasks were clearly explained and the Finca has lots to offer (nature, views, horses, and when we were there, lots of baby goats!) The hosts were very kind and knowledgeable. The accommodations were rustic but had everything we needed. Not the place for an arachnophobe - but I would say that applies to Costa Rica overall. The food was good but basic. Overall, a good choice if you want to get your hands dirty and learn about sustainable agriculture.

We had a great week at the project! The hosts were very kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The farm was beautiful and peaceful. The other volunteers were great too! The work was nice, working in the gardens and with the animals. The housing was comfortable and clean, although rustic and be prepared for spiders/ insects. One thing to know is we did have to cook our own meals frequently, although the ingredients are provided in the cost.

Everyone was so kind and inviting. The volunteers, along with Lara and others who live in the farm, truly made the experiences worth having. It was a community of people working together, sharing each other's culture, and wonderful conversations. Your experience truly depends on the other volunteers who are there, but it is a space where people want to have genuine conversations and are willing to open up. Being with the animals and helping around the farm can get a bit tough if you're not used to working. After a day or two, it is very easy to get used to the tasks and it easily becomes fun.

A really special place with really lovely people. Every morning there is a meeting with the staff and volunteers to decide on what you want to work on each day. So in the gardens, in the outdoor kitchen, with the animals, or doing general maintenance. Everyone here is made to feel welcomed and included. There is a yoga studio with an amazing view of the valley, do go at sunrise or sunset. You will have a lot of free time in the afternoons and on the weekends, although sometimes we had scheduled optional activities. Definitely recommend going for a few weeks at least :)
