Talk English and explore Morocco cheaply

I really enjoyed the work itself. The hours were balanced—lighter on weekdays (1h30) and more demanding on weekends (6h/4h), but having Monday and Tuesday off was great for short trips. It was an amazing chance to connect with locals and learn about the culture. However, the accommodation did not fully match our agreement, and the mixed dorms were a concern. After a respectful talk with Harim, I decided to leave early and shared suggestions for improvement. I appreciate the experience and recommend clarifying details in advance.

I had a good time in the host, work was pretty easy and the hours were not bad. However, we were only given 2 meals a week, and some of the basic necessities, such as toilet paper or soap weren't provided, so we had to buy our own. Also, there were a lot of volunteers and only one shower and 2 toilets, so it was often really dirty. I still enjoyed my stay and working with the kids; some of the conversations were really interesting. The thing I loved the most was immersing in their culture and connecting with locals.

The staff and the other volunteers were great. The work is really easy and fun and you get to talk with local people a lot. The facilities were good but a bit small so I guees it can get very busy when there is a lot or volunteers. But the most important thing to say is that there are no 3 and a half day off, it's 2 days. Monday and tuesday. Also some days the work hours were spread along the day so yes, you work 3 hours but within 5 or 6 hours. Food also not included everyday as they say. Just few days in the week, basically when Hasaniya comes around.

I stayed in the uptown the host for one week. Harim's idea of connecting travellers and students to improve their English communication is amazing, I really enjoyed the work. Nevertheless, I didn't complete the whole volunteering since it wasn't what I was expecting. The accomodation was ok, but no washing machine and no meals offered everyday, as it was described in the app. Also there are only 2 days off, not 3 and a half. Working hours are spread all over the afternoon, with many non-working gaps in between. Overall, it wasn't a good fit for me but I'm sure it might be for someone else :)

My stay at the host was so cool!! The work hours were a lot less than expected, you can expect to work about 10 hours a week. Also, every weekend Harim organizes affordable trips for the volunteers, making this a great way to see a lot of Morocco in a safe, affordable, and fun way. I met so many travelers and locals and learned so much about Moroccan culture, I couldn't be happier with my experience! Harim was also very flexible when I had to leave early because of a family emergency. The house has a very chill energy and everyone was very welcoming! Thank you thank you thank you!

I spent a month at the school in Berrechid, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the very first moment, the teachers and volunteers made me feel genuinely at home, showing exceptional warmth and care. The students were inspiring—eager to learn, deeply curious, and open to meaningful connections. The teachers stand out as some of the kindest, funniest, and most fascinating people I met during my time in Morocco. Their dedication and energy created a strong bond with the volunteers. This combination of heartfelt human connections and great organization made my stay truly exceptional!

I hugely enjoyed my time teaching at the school. The experience was rewarding, inspiring and has certainly encouraged me to seek similar opportunities elsewhere. Harim is a caring, intelligent and interesting fellow, clearly passionate about education as are all his wonderful assistants who made me feel welcome, supported and were appreciative of my efforts at class. The meals provided are delicious, plenty of huge discounts on trips for the volunteers and the downtown school very central, easy to find, close to other city life and adventures. I missed the students as soon as I left!

The host Language the host was definitely a nice chapter during my stay in Morocco. I volunteered at the school in Berrechid and it was very refreshing to be in a less touristy area of Morocco. I got to meet many locals and the teachers at the school are very friendly, kind and interesting women. I will definitely miss the tajine and couscous that Fatima cooked for the volunteers. I've enjoyed my stay greatly and I hope to be back.
