The hostel was a relaxing experience in the off season. The hostel was very quiet but the manager and the owner made the environment very comfortable. The area around the hostel is beautiful and we were able to immerse ourselves in the local culture. Aldo was super friendly and very kind. We had a great time! Thank you for having us

I found that the environment was super positive and welcoming, the manager there is a really sweet genuine guy and the work there was insanely chill and do able. I did have some trouble with the facilities. The place could use a major job when it come to updating and cleaning the facilities. It made it kind of difficult to stay there long term. But i ended up leaving early for other reasons that had nothing to do with the hostel, staff, or owners. I can imagine this place is really nice during the summer months!

The manager Aldo and the owner Aleksander are incredible people. Very sociable and understanding to your needs. There isn't a proper reception desk and the facilities are pretty run down. If you are used to fancy facilities this place will not be for you. That being said, the hostel feels a lot like a family and someone's home. The people that you meet are incredible and the hidden beaches are a hike to get to but well worth it. There are not free yoga classes or a bar as advertised. And it's mainly laundry and housekeeping duties.

Aldo, the manager was extremely kind and fun. He assigned shifts the night before, which was good. The shifts were 5 days/week and 4hrs each (so only 20hrs/week). The work was not what I anticipated (I signed up for Arts, Painting & Decorating, Handywork, Gardening), instead it was housecleaning; it should have been advertised that way. There were also no free tours nor yoga classes. The hostel was a bit grimy and few rules were enforced. There needs to be a checklist of daily tasks for organization. It was a 50 min walk to the beach. I was also chewed up by mosquitos. It was easy work though.

El equipo y anfitrión super amables y siempre disponibles a los cambios. El lugar podría organizarse mejor pero siempre se puede evolucionar, creo que es parte del proceso. El lugar es increíble para explorar y divertirse entre huéspedes y voluntarios. Gente amena, amable, y el lugar muy tranquilo.

I’m really happy to hear you have good time and specially between guests and volunteers, that is the main thing to have good time all together.
Thanks for improving us in organizing , I really wish I can know that from beginning because I didn’t have any information about that and I guess we have enough time to talk about that but also I hope we can do next time 😊
Tasks in our hostel are simply I guess keeping the house, that means cleaning, gardening a bit , check in-out, laundry , painting (wich you did great painting in kitchen) and talking with guests, as I know this 5 tasks we can do anytime when your shift is.
For me personally was really pleasure to work with you and I wish we can do again in the future also we can have some new ideas 😊

Muy buena onda en el Hostel. Muchos viajeros internacionales. Las tareas son simples de realizar y Aldo es muy buen anfitrión, siempre dispuesto al diálogo y muy flexible!!! Tratar de llegar de día porque a la noche el lugar es desolado. En Montengro, Bar te da la posibilidad de conocer varios sitios cerca en tus días libres !!! Enjoy!!

La experiencia fue muy buena, conocí a mucha gente de lugares diferentes del mundo, y estubimos viviendo en comunicadad como una família, tanto con los guests como con los voluntarios. Guardo buen recuerdo de mi primer worldpacker. Para los voluntarios que busquen mucha comodidad en los dormitorios y que priorizeis la limpieza, este no es vuestro sitio, ya que se duerme en literas en habitaciones de 8, y en general, a las instalaciones (baños, cocina, habitaciones), les falta una renovacion, y al vivir en medio de la naturaleza, hay algun que otro bicho.

I’m very happy you had good time and thanks a lot for making us improve our holstel . Really we had good time working together .
I guess about cleaning and renovation you are totally right because for that reason we are working all together to make our place where we stay more comfortable for us and also for our guests. If all together we do just small things in end gone be so big.

My experience in the hostel has been really cool. I have met kind people. The only thing to keep in mind is that the facilities are not very modern and can even seem precarious at some point. Even so, the atmosphere that is breathed and the kindness of the people compensates everything. Also Aldo it's a really nice guy.

It was very nice staying at the hostel, and Aldo, the manager, was very kind and helpful from the very beggining. Since I went in february, there was no movement in the hostel and not much to do, so I didn't worked that much. On these dates it is a relaxed environment with lots of free time to enjoy the nature and the sorruoundings of the hostel (there are natural beaches, countryside, the Old Town of Bar...). Aldo is very friendly, he shared everything with me and showed me amazing places. Thanks a lot for the experience!
