Dieter and Monique were always very kind and they made me feel at home and a part of a family, the work is easy and enjoyable and they are always around ready to lend a helping hand. The time is always respected, the food is always great and the accommodation was private so you also have your own space. The towns near-by are very pretty and you can go by bike, or take a train to pretty much any city in the country. Dieter was also a very good and fun host, always going the extra mile. Really recommended!

I felt like home doing this voluntary experience. Dieter, Monique and Christine are very sweet and caring about all the volunteers. The accomodations are very confortable, the shifts are fair and everybody was receptive and friendly during my stay. Volunteering at the Kooningsteen is an experience for travellers who are searching for a peaceful environment and healthy lifestyle in a gorgeous Belgian countryside. Thank you all the Kooningsteen team, and fellow volunteers, for the great uplifting talks, the AMAZING vegetarian food, the tasty treats and all the learning and team work!
