I stayed at the Hostel together with my friend and we had a great time. the Hostel and the staff are great and very friendly. The big kitchen and cozy lounge area is shared with the guests, which gives great opportunities to meet other travelers. The staff and other volunteers were an amazing little group. We often hung out together and somtimes we had little cooking evenings together to share recepies and connect. The Hostel is situated closely to the lake and we often took bicycles to explore the area. And even during the busy days, we never had to work more then agreed upon.

Had an amazing time at the hostel! Was so great to wake up and see mt the hostel every day. Loads to explore in the area and the work was easy and never longer than stated. Highly recommend this experience. Big thanks to all of the staff at the hostel too!

Great place to volunteer that I would highly recommend. Staff are great people who are easy to get along with, jobs are super easy and take a maximum of 4 hours (usually less) to complete which gives plenty of time to explore kawaguchiko and the surrounding area.

This was my first volunteering experience through World Packers and I couldn't have asked for better. I wasn't sure what to expect but everyone in the hostel made me feel at home. The work was easy to learn to someone who had no experience in cleaning as me. Had plenty of free time to explore Kawaguchiko, I saw most of Yamanashi prefecture and made valuable friends during the month I stayed here. Truly grateful for this place if I could I would have stayed longer but my trip circumstances didn't allow it. Very international and friendly place perfect to interact with a lot of people.

I would fully recommend applying to the hostel and joining this team. They were so welcoming and fun to work along with, it was really easy to pick up the work and communicate any questions or concerns with them. We got to enjoy regular tea time altogether if work was finished early where we could relax, chat and eat some snacks together. The hostel itself is really clean and nice to stay in. I spent time in both the dorm and private room and both were very comfortable. The area around the hostel is also super peaceful and it's amazing to see Mt. the hostel everyday.

Beautiful hostel to live in, in an area of Japan that has a lot of serene nature to enjoy. The hours of work are always within the allocated time. There are very kind coworkers who made my stay and who I have made fond memories with.

Both me and my partner loved our experience. I cannot thank everyone at the hostel enough for the kind hospitality we received, if anyone is travelling through the area I would highly recommend this the hostel! Great location and great/accomodating staff.

I had a meaningful experience at the hostel and would 100% recommend you apply. The staff/helpers were so welcoming and organized. I felt appreciated and safe. I was able to meet interesting travelers from around the world. The work was very fair; sometimes, we even finished early and had tea time. The hostel is clean and comfortable. I had a lot of free time to relax and my time there was very peaceful. Food is not included in the exchange but I was reimbursed weekly with a little food assistance cash. My favorite memory was the company potluck we had with past/current coworkers.

There are 2 the hostel houses in Kawaguchiko and I spent my time at the hostel View branch. It was beautiful! The staff are extremely supportive and accommodating. All helped me achieve all my travel goals and making things happen. I wouldn't have been able to do so much without them The location is beautiful and perfect for watching the hostel and sightseeing. It has a very upmarket hostel, near hotel vibe and as such they expect higher quality work then most hostels. But it's not hard or too much work, and the staff will have you feeling like your apart of a family. I really hope to come back soon.
