Detalhes

Lots of the things in our center are done on a voluntarily basis: that means everyone whom you are going to meet in the center does plenty of unpaid work.
Your possible tasks will depend on your skills.
You may help the teachers to prepare the materials for the classes or camps; support the teachers while they're giving classes, if necessary (help children to solve their tasks) and play with kids. You can also organize a workshop or a little activity for kids yourself.
Sometimes it is necessary to help us in the household - simple things like hoovering, washing the floor, taking care of our small garden and sorting out some documents.
Also other tasks like crafts, painting, building or designing something are possible.

Atividades & Turnos

We plan about 4-5 hours of work per day.
If you want, you can work also full day and take additional days off for that.
Our children speak Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Turkish and German.
Some of them understand basic English.
If you are really-really cool in teaching and don't speak any of those languages (English doesn't count - kids don't really speak it), we may try to find children which speak your mother tongue but this is rather an exception for some really really cool teachers seeking for a new experience.

Regras

We expect the volunteer to be home before 10pm in the evening during the working week in order not to disturb the neighbors.
Volunteers stay in a three-room flat, sharing it with the owners or sometimes with other volunteers. Here everything is like at home: an example, there is a fridge with groceries for everybody; some meals are cooked by hosts, and some can be cooked together.
We expect that you also take care of the place where you are staying.
If we see that something is dirty or not in place, we take care of it - and so should you.
If you like cooking, feel free to cook a traditional meal of your country for everybody, it will be very appreciated - we will buy all the ingredients.
Open communication is very important for us. If you don't understand something, if you don't like something, if you need something, do not hesitate to tell us.
See you in Hannover!
