I had an amazing month with Roswitha and Fridus! They are very kind and calm people and I'm so grateful for the time we spent together with the other volunteers and of course the dogs! The surrounding forest and the lake is absolutely beautiful and a great place to relax, get in touch with nature and live a simple life. When the restaurant is closed the volunteers mainly help with taking care of their 6 (at the time) dogs, walking them etc. and also helping with small tasks like cooking dinner, preparing things for the restaurant and helping with some outside tasks. The experience was very meaningful for me. It's a beautiful,cozy place where I met lovely people and lovely dogs! I think that the work depends on the season you are coming because when the restaurant is open, work is very different and can be a bit more stressful. I came in a season where the restaurant was closed so we cared a lot for the dogs and did some restaurant preparations… besides. What I really appreciated was that we could go in the kitchen take/make food whenever we wanted to so It felt like being home. Altogether was it a nice experience for me, I recommend it!

It was my first experience volunteering and I had the best time of my life! The hosts are super kind and caring, always looking for us to make sure we are comfortable and having a great time. I made friends for life with the other volunteers. The dogs are so cute and they love cuddles. Would love to come back there!!

I spent two months in this beautiful place completely surrounded by nature. The restaurant is in the countryside of sweden and there are not a lot of social events to visit, but the lake and the volunteers make it such I nice place to stay! The working hours are really respected and there's flexibility on days off. They offer rides to the supermarket and the train station if needed and are also very worried about our well being. The work in the restaurant can be very stressful at times, so it's nice to be able to work under pressure and not take things personally. Over all, great experience!

I have learned new things and I also practised my English as I wanted to do. The family was nice with all of us. I enjoyed working as a waitress and all the guests were so kind and very polite. I loved the volunteers and working with the dogs. The landscapes were incredible. My expectatives have been covered. I had a nice experience and I totally recommend it!

Ha sido mi primer voluntario, y ha sido una experiencia inolvidable. Me lo he pasado genial con los voluntarios ya que eran todos súper divertidos y amables. Fridus y Roswitha han sido muy simpáticos también. El trabajo ha estado muy bien y he aprendido un montón tanto en la cocina y en restaurante, como con los perros que son un amor. Además el lugar es precioso con sus lagos y bosques. Recomiendo está experiencia 100%.

This was my first volunteering experience and I don't think I could've chosen better. Both Fridus and Roswitha are very welcoming, caring and made me feel right at home. I was surprised how beautiful the surroundings were. The nature there is simply breathtaking even during more rainy and cloudy days. Work is easy and enjoyable although sometimes can be a bit tiring. During 'rush hours' in the restaurant, work in the kitchen can be a little stressful and there can be some disagreements but they are quickly resolved. I will miss everyone very much and hope I will come here again!!

An amazing experience. I felt at ease with Roswitha&Fridus from the beginning and also with the other volunteers. I had a great time with the volunteers, I made a lot of inside-jokes and I felt very welcome from the first day. Roswitha&Fridus are very friendly, always respect the working hours and care about you. And the dogs are lovely. I was lucky enough to been there when was a litter of puppies that had to be moved from one garden to another, fed them and when they grew up, given their first walks. I will miss them very much. I would repeat the experience without hesitation.

The nature was stunning, the people I met were nicer than I ever expected them to be. I made great friends! The dogs are nice, but sometimes hard to handle, especially the two big ones. You have to know that you probably don't do outside work even if you applied for that, I loved the kitchen work too, but if you really want to do outside work you have to tell Fridus an Roswitha, because they need the most help in the kitchen. Sometimes I wished we would be talked to respectfullier, in the kitchen, because we aren't professionals. All in all I really enjoyed my stay there!
