I can say I was very lucky because the people who funded part of this project came from the United States, and I was able to share this experience with them. Josephine and Robert are the founders of this project, which has three facets: education for children, vocational education for young people, and the eco-farm. All this work does nothing more than help people have a chance to get ahead in life, have food, respect nature, and be able to use its resources sustainably. It was a beautiful experience that definitely contributes to a better world.

Where to begin... My experience was diversified, eye opening, adaptive, uncertain at times, full of love, joy, dancing, singing and a warm welcome from the locals. Honestly, too much to be able to fit on this page. Eyes and attention will be on you constantly if your a muzungu (white person) but not in a bad way, so you learn to adapt to the constant attention from others. Ugandan staple foods include; matooke(cooked unripe bananas), rice, beans, peanut sauce, posho( corn cake). My heart and passion during this experience has been at San Martino Primary School.
