My stay was unbeatable! The location is excellent; Alvor is a charming fishing village close to a lot of tourist attractions and it's a place where you can relax in a unique ecosystem of dunes, river and sea (natural lovers will enjoy of a network of footpaths that connect everything). But also can find leisure and nightlife (wide range of bars and restaurants in historical center and Riberinha). Moreover, in the hostel there's a familiar atmosphere where I felt at home and met amazing people from around the world... Cristina is careful and always attentive to your needs. Obrigada por tudo!

My experience at ardemar was great, cristina and everyone else are the loveliest people. The work is pretty good too, you work from 8-13 everyday. My tasks varied a bit from day to day so just be open to that, some days I cleaned the rooms, other days I would do ironing and I also helped clean up at the construction site. I met amazing new people and felt very much at home there, you always feel taken care of. Overall I can definetely recommend it!

Mis días en la casa fueron de las mejores experiencias que he tenido. Estoy super agradecida con Cristina, Joaquin y todo el equipo. Me sentí muy cómoda, las tareas son simples y todo el tiempo están pensando en el bienestar de los voluntarios. Gracias!!

Mi experiencia aquí fue muy linda, Cristina es una persona hermosa que te trata muy bien, hace que te sientas como en tu casa. Las tareas son 5 hs de limpieza más que todo, se respeta el horario acordado que es de 8 a 13 hs después tenes el resto del día libre para recorrer Alvor que es muy bonito y la playa está muy cerca del alojamiento

If I had to sum up in three words this experience I would use discovery, challenging and hospitality. I have discovered a lot of things talking to volunteers and people from all around the world. I have discovered also a very nice place where you can stay relaxed but amazed for the beauty of the ocean and nature of Alvor, and other places nearby. Then, you do different tasks during the morning, usually from 8 to 1 pm, but no more than 5 hours. Cristina is very welcoming and full of energy and there is a collaborative and friendly group, so I have never felt out of place. Obrigada :)

Amazing experience! I had the opportunity not only to improve my working skills, but also to meet international volunteers with which I shared a lot and learned a lot from. Cristina is really caring and nice and she welcomed me amazingly! The guesthouse is near the beach and is located in the center of Alvor which is a very nice and lively place at any time, afternoon and evening. I enjoyed the experience and the wonderful landscape!

This was my first experience and it was fantastic! We are 6 volunteers and we have to prepare a buffet for breakfast at 8:00 and then we help Cristina to clean, tidy and control check outs and checks in.
