Is a wonderful place to volunteer. The hosts are great people who help create a warm family feeling culture. Lots of fun things to do in and around the area of the hostel. Right in the middle so can easily visit up to Inverness or down to Glasgow and Edinburgh cheaply. Would highly recommend!!!

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel. The team was great. Chris and Hérvé are really nice and were always there to help or to patiently answer any questions during the shift. Also with three days off a week, which you can even choose, this position is perfect to explore Scotland as much as you can afford ;) Thanks to all the wonderful people who made my stay extra special, I will definitely miss the movie nights in the TV room.

It has been a fantastic experience! Chris, Hervé are special people who follow you step by step to teach you the best to give your best, especially Chris, always try to motivate yourself and don't be discouraged even with people like me who are first-time experience and can make mistakes the hostel is a perfect city to explore Scotland, as a strategic point to begin your adventures in Scotland The work is commensurate with the hours you have and especially with teamwork is easy, the important thing is to create a good team and collaborate even on the most difficult

I had the best time at the hostel! Everyone was super friendly and I met the most incredible people from all over the world!! The work is very straightforward and well-communicated and there is always someone available to answer questions! The hostel itself is right in the centre of the hostel which makes it easy to get around both in the city and to other destinations in Scotland! Thank you guys so much for making feel like a part of the hostel family, I miss everyone already! :)

The hostel was a wonderful place for doing a volunteer because I could discover a lot of place in Scotland. The work was easy, only 4 days per week and normally we finished early. I highly recommend volunteering in the hostel.

The hostel was a great first volunteer experience! The work was easy and oftentimes shorter than expected as I was there when the hostel wasn't too busy. the hostel was also a great location with easy access to Scotland and I was able to travel to some amazing locations on my 3 days off each week. The other volunteers and staff were all so welcoming and lovely. Would highly recommend!

I was only here for a short time but the hostel definitely felt like a home. I have definitely made some good friends and left with warm memories. The hours and jobs allocated were fair and management were very kind, understanding and superb at their jobs. The hostel itself is in a great location, heart of town and a 10min walk from the train station with bus connections all around. It's a good place to explore from. The area surrounding is wonderful to explore as well. If you're considering coming to the hostel, do yourself a favour and go!

I truly recommend volunteering at this hostel. The work is straightforward, and the schedule is always respected. You get three days off each week, which is perfect for exploring Scotland. The staff and fellow volunteers were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making it a memorable time. Volunteering at the hostel was a truly rewarding experience. The chores were simple and manageable, and the working hours were always respected. The three days off were incredible, as they gave me the chance to explore Scotland. The warmth and friendliness by the people I met there criated a welcoming atmosphere that made every day enjoyable. Once again DBH was my home away from home. The volunteers are always lovely and the management team is great. The location is awesome if you are planning on traveling scotland. Thank you for everything 🤍
