He sido voluntaria de Samaritan durante 3 semanas. He trabajado por las mañanas con niños de 2 a 6 años en Christina School in por las tardes con niños de 8 a 9 años en Samaeitan School. Los fines de semana los he aprovechado para conocer la organización (Safari con otros voluntarios, Arusha, Sinda Island, playas de Dar...). Chamazi es un sitio seguro para un voluntariado y las personas del equipo de Samaritan ayudan y guían a los voluntarios siempre que está en sus manos. Volvería a repetir el voluntariado y se lo recomendaría a amigos. Yo lo hice con 2 amigas y ha sido una experiencia genial!

This experience helped me open my eyes and discover a new world. It's not an everyday experience and it might feel hard to get used to certain things at the beginning, but it's a good way to learn about a new culture, reflect, and grow. My host family was amazing. They made me feel at home from the first day, offering me delicious food every day and taking time for little talks with me. The experience in the hospital was something I've never experienced before. I got to see and learn very easily, accompanied by many good doctors and other volunteers. Asante sana to everyone 🫶🏼🇹🇿

It was truly a very important and meaningful journey to me. We were able to observe and help the doctors in the hospital, just as we were told. I experienced all of the different departments that our hospital had to offer and could also chose to stay longer if I liked it there! :) We were also amazed by the planning and organisation of Dr. William, the organizer of the whole trip. We lived out host family and truly felt so welcome and wanted. All in all, if you're an upcoming med student, paramedic or nurse and you want to broaden you're cultural and medical horizon - this is your place

I had an amazing time in Chamazi, the whole team is so nice and welcoming, the kids are great and I met so many nice other volunteers that became friends of mine. Emmanuel and Jackson make sure everything is nice and good for the volunteers and are there for you if you need them. Jackson has an amazing sense of humour and Emmanuel really proves he is a good host, and asks daily how everyone is doing. The house is nice, lovely ladies cooking food for you 3 times a day. My experience at the school was also great with the teachers being so thankful for the help you provide. I will miss you!!

I've just finished my two weeks volunteering with THO doing the community outreach and social media programme. I spent my time doing videography, editing as well as spending some time at the orphanage which was all really fun and also quite relaxed - so I still got plenty of time to explore the city! Dr William (volunteering coordinator), Asha (host) and all the other volunteers were so warm and welcoming. They also provide great trips for a good price like the safari weekend with tour guide Emma - who was also really nice and informative. Asante Sana!

Hi! I spent 2 weeks volunteering here and I learnt so much in that time. The people at the hospital are so friendly and kind and it's an intense environment but perfect for full immersion. My boyfriend was filming content for the social media and THO website and really enjoyed it! Our host (Asha) was incredibly welcoming and friendly it was so great to stay with her- food is lovely too! And Dr William was so helpful throughout the whole process, made it feel easy and supported. And our safari was so fun! Emma is lovely and made us feel very welcome and relaxed. A huge thank you to everyone!

My experience within this NGO was just INCREDIBLE. Jackson and Emanuel are with you from start to finish: they listen to your worries or fears, help you when you are sick and accompany you when visiting the city. The kids are just great with all the volunteers. If you want to help children in the organization, go with Samaritan Volunteers they will do everything possible to make this experience go well for you.

I had an amazing experience with the Samaritan Volunteers team in Chamazi. This is such a meaningful project to be a part of. The students are eager to learn and interact with all the visiting volunteers. It requires a lot of energy to keep up with them! But it is totally worth it when you see their smiles and joy, and it truly does feel like this program is making a big positive difference in their lives and in the community. Emma, Jackson, and the rest of the team are great hosts. They make you feel welcome from the very beginning, and you get a totally immersive local living experience.

Such a great experience! The host family was very welcoming and helpful, Suzi made me feel at home from the first day. Working in hospital was very helpful: I had the opportunity to know a different healthcare system, learn a lot about the Tanzanian one and share my knowledge with the operators, who were all very kind with me. All the people of THO was very friendly: they picked me up from the airport and answer me about all questions or information, before, during and after my stay. Weekend are free and all the volunteers have the opportunity to discover the beauty of the organization.
