Volunteering at the hostel was a fantastic experience. From the start, Cami, the owner, was incredibly flexible and always ready to help. Francesca's kindness and positive energy added even more warmth to the place, making it a pleasure to work with both of them. The duties were simple and left plenty of time to enjoy the cozy, friendly atmosphere. The hostel feels like a true home, full of good energy and a welcoming spirit. I genuinely felt part of a little family here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful and enjoyable experience!

Muy buena experiencia, la cual recomiendo al 100%. El hostel tiene un ambiente familiero y con buena gente, son personas super amables que te tratan de 10. Cami siempre esta dispuesta a ayudarte a darte tips sobre los lugares a visitar y que hacer en tu tiempo libre. Las tareas son acorde a lo acordado y para nada complicadas. Por lo que considero que vale la pena ir y pasar un tiempo en el hostel y en la hermosa isla de chiloe.

Esta fue mi primera experiencia como voluntaria, y no podría haber sido en un mejor lugar! Si querés visitar un hostel acogedor y con muy buena onda ya sea entre el staff o con los huéspedes, tenés q ir a the hostel. Cami fue de mucha ayuda y comprensiva indicándonos las tareas a hacer en el hostal; también gracias a sus recomendaciones pudimos recorrer lugares muy lindos en la isla. Una experiencia inolvidable que recomiendo mucho!! 🫶🏼

Fue muy buena experiencia para conocer personas de otras partes del mundo y conocer Chiloé. El hostel tiene muy buena ubicación y el staff es muy amable.

Castro is a cute city that allows you to easily access most of the islands activities by bus. the hostel is a cozy hostel with good communal spaces, kind people, and a wide variety of international travelers to meet. Camila, the owner, has all the recommendations you could need about how to spend your time off. The work is fairly simple and not too time consuming.

I really enjoyed volunteering at the hostel. Camilla is super friendly, understanding and flexible with the task and schedule if needed. Schedules are respected and tasks are very simple. The hostel itself is sociable with a good general atmosphere. The location is ideal to visit the island, and Chiloé Island is really chill, with nice landscapes and culture. I can only recommend this voluntary !

Mi experiencia en el hostel fue mucho más que solo positiva. Camila es una persona súper comprensiva y agradable, y siempre buscará ayudarte en lo que pueda como voluntario, además tiene recomendaciones muy buenas sobre lugares en la isla. Me encantó el entorno que tenía el hospedaje, muy artístico, limpio, acogedor, es mucho más de lo que podría pedir. El trabajo no era difícil y hasta lo encontré entretenido. Este fue sin duda uno de mis mejores voluntariados, tuve tiempo de sobra para conocer Chiloé y hacer todo lo que quería. Gracias a Cami, Cristi, Chochoca por todo lo que Chiloé me dio 💞

I had a great time for a first experience volunteering with Worldpackers and the hostel hostal. I truly appreciate the collaborative culture of the staff, the positive spirit and the opportunity to really discover the island well thanks to Camilla's recommendations and feedbacks. I would definitely recommend this place and would volunteer again if the opportunity would present itself another time.

Recomiendo mucho ser voluntario en LaMinga! Las personas son increíbles, tanto la Cami como la Cristi son súper atentas, amables y les gusta mucho el hostel. El ambiente del hostal también es súper tranquilo y familiar, con tareas muy bien explicadas y definidas. Realmente vale mucho la pena conocer el hostal, el staff y también la hermosa Isla de Chiloé.

Volunteering in the hostel was an incredible experience. Even though it was low season, there was a great atmosphere at all times in the hostel. The work is very chill and it is opportunity is the perfect way to get to know Chiloé and live in Castro in a more intimate, local manner. Cami has lived in Chiloé for almost a decade and she is an expert in guiding you through activities, tourist attractions, … around the island. I'm truly thankful that the wind brought me here and I was able to meet such incredible and loving people in the hostel!
