As a Social Work Volunteer, you will play a vital role in supporting vulnerable individuals and communities. You will assist in providing emotional support, organizing activities, and promoting wellbeing among children, families, and other beneficiaries. Your responsibilities may include:
Assisting social workers in day-to-day activities and community outreach
Supporting children and families through mentorship, guidance, and recreational program

The Community Social Work Initiative is dedicated to supporting vulnerable children, families, and individuals in our community. Our program focuses on promoting wellbeing, education, and social development through hands-on volunteer engagement. Volunteers work alongside trained social workers to provide mentorship, organize educational and recreational activities, support health and nutrition programs, and advocate for the needs of beneficiaries.
By participating, volunteers help strengthen community resilience, create meaningful relationships, and contribute to positive, sustainable change. The program is designed to be inclusive, practical, and impactful, offering volunteers an opportunity to gain real-world experience in social work and community service.
Volunteer Commitment:
Minimum stay: 2–4 weeks
Daily hours: 3–6 hours, with 1 day off per week
Together, we strive to empower communities and improve the lives of those most in need.


Atividades & Turnos

Volunteer Activities:
Assisting social workers with community outreach and home visits
Mentoring and supporting children in educational and recreational programs
Organizing and helping with health, nutrition, and wellbeing initiatives
Participating in counseling sessions under supervision (where applicable)
Documenting activities and providing feedback for program improvement
Advocating for community needs and helping implement social development projects
Volunteer Shifts:
Daily Hours: 3–6 hours per day
Days Off: 1 day per week
Suggested Shift Times:
Morning: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Afternoon: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Volunteers may choose full-day shifts (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) depending on availability
This schedule is designed to provide flexibility while ensuring consistent support to beneficiaries and meaningful engagement for volunteers.


Regras

Volunteer Rules & Guidelines
Respect and Professionalism: Treat all beneficiaries, staff, and fellow volunteers with respect, kindness, and professionalism at all times.
Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding personal information of beneficiaries and program operations.
Punctuality: Arrive on time for your assigned shifts and notify supervisors in advance if unable to attend.
Commitment: Stay for the agreed minimum period (2–4 weeks) and fulfill daily hour commitments (3–6 hours/day).
Dress Code: Wear appropriate, modest, and comfortable clothing suitable for social work activities.
Safety: Follow all safety guidelines during activities, visits, or fieldwork. Report any incidents immediately.
Substance Policy: Alcohol, drugs, or any illegal substances are strictly prohibited during volunteer hours.
Participation: Actively engage in assigned tasks and follow instructions from supervisors or program coordinators.
Respect Boundaries: Avoid physical contact or behavior that could make beneficiaries uncomfortable.
Feedback & Reporting: Provide honest feedback and report any challenges or observations that may improve the program.
Note: Volunteers who consistently violate these rules may be asked to leave the program.
