I had an amazing time at the farm Homestay! The location is beautiful and there's much more to do in Chiang the farm than I originally thought. The hosts were all great, Nay's coffee, food, personality and art are all amazing. I enjoyed the work preparing the space to become a cafe and even more of a community space. Tommy and Mark generously included me in so many fun activities from day one, making mango salad, birthday parties, karaoke. The work at the Homestay was very flexible and the pets are adorable! I'll definitely be back next time in Thailand.

I had an amazing week at Dai Home with a great group of volunteers. My hosts were very kind and always want to make sure that everyone feels comfortable. Nay's coffee is literally the best coffee i've ever tasted and the Thai food what he freshly made for us everyday was 10/10, delicious. We learned a lot about Thai culture during the volunteer work (taking care of the cute pets around the house, helping in the garden, cleaning up in the kitchen, helping out in kitchen). This place is a real beauty, a hidden gem of northern Thailand. I'm definitely going to come back:)))

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the farm. The food was delicious, we met amazing backpackers, Chiang the farm is a beautiful town away from mass tourism, and the facilities are nice. However, I do feel it's falsely advertised on Worldpackers. The coffee, bikes, gym, laundry, and most of the activities such as learning how to make coffee (which is taught by other volunteers) all come at an extra cost. There also wasn't much volunteering to do. During my 6 days there we only did one volunteer activity. Glad I had the experience but it felt more like a lovely homestay than volunteering.

You’re right that during your visit, we were still transitioning from a volunteer-style listing into a cultural residency model, and our profile didn’t yet reflect the new structure. That created a mismatch in expectations.

If you're expecting a true volunteering experience, think again. This felt more like a homestay than a volunteer project, with extra fees for the gym, laundry, coffee, and bikes which are only mentioned when you arrive. While pets are listed, I wasn't expecting to share a room with a cat that walked on my bed and meowed at night. Unfortunately, my bed was also very uncomfortable the mattress was so thin I could feel the slats underneath. I had to ask twice to change beds. To compensate, they offered me free access to the gym and coffee. You will need a scooter to get around Chiang the farm

You’re right — during your visit we were still transitioning from a volunteer model into a cultural residency, and our profile didn’t clearly reflect that yet. This caused confusion about what was included and what had extra cost, and we’re truly sorry for that.

Since then we’ve updated everything: clearer descriptions, more structured weekly activities, improved rooms and mattresses, and all gym/bike access included etc

The farm is a very beautiful place with kind and friendly people. I felt very welcomed and safe as soon as I arrived. It's the perfect place for creative people who are looking for time and space to create art. The hosts are also really open to suggestions on what could be done around this place and give everyone the freedom to contribute in their own unique way.

Nay and all the people in the villa are a very kind, the place is absolutely beautiful, and the task are chill. I had to go before i was expected because were ticks, they are controlling this problem, i hope they can solve it soon!

The farm was a break to stay, slow down, and enjoy the moutains of Chiang the farm. The work is very short, giving you lots of time to enjoy yourself. The food is cooked fresh for each meal and is very traditional and delicious. The project is run by 3 men who are still learning the best way to work with volunteers. On th weekend Nay takes you to his other property at Lanna River to see the elephant he has there. I think this experience is very dependent on the other volunteers there since you become a little community.

I stayed with Nay for a week in Dao home and it was absolutely amazing!! Even though the farm flooded which is horrible for Nay and his team, they still did everything to make this experience as good as possible and they did an amazing job by doing that! I learned so many new things about construction work and it totally took me out of my comfort zone but every task was manageable and fun to do! Nay had 2 puppies and 3 kittens which made Dao home immediately feel like home and his kid, Mon is such a smart kid and I am honored to be a witness of a part of him growing up. Thank you Nay!!

I've loved this experience! Nae's food is so so so GOOD and there are a lot of puppies. The work is not bad and the hours are less than expected a lot of days. Just mention that you have to pay 5$ a day and it's not mentioned in every position but it's worth it.

Our experience with Nay was very nice. He is a very good cook and includes everyone somehow. He is a one of a kind person who treated us with respect and kindness. He also has great humor. If we get the chance, we definitely would come back!!!
