The island and hostel are beautiful but a month is very long to spend here. The tasks are fun like leading beach trips and guacamole classes, however the morning and afternoon shifts are not equal in length/ effort. There is no cell service or wifi in the volunteer dorm and I wish I knew this before coming here. There is no indoor common space and outdoor wifi is spotty (I wouldn't recommend for digital the hostel). The staff meals are not the best, especially if you have dietary requirements or allergies- but they did get better towards the end. I recommend knowing a little bit of Spanish too!

I had a great time volunteering at the hostel, living the dream of staying on an island for a month. Isla Mujeres is such a beautiful place, and the tasks of animation are fun and easy. During my stay here, I was responsible for all the activities apart from yoga, so running walking and snorkeling tours, cooking and cocktail classes, promoting the parties, as well as beer pong/ping pong tournaments, and even just generally interacting with the guests. Arturo was super helpful all along the way, therefore special thanks to him.

Estuve trabajando como recepcionista, me sentí muy cómoda con los chicos de recepción siempre me ayudaron en todo lo que necesitaba, tanto el Staff como el gerente! Ademas de eso conocí personas increíbles y a pesar de que cada uno tome su camino se que me volveré a cruzar con ellas. Agradezco a todo el equipo por haberme integrado en el tiempo que estuve. Despertar todas las mañanas en la playa no tuvo precio! Espero que los próximos viajeros puedan disfrutar del lugar como lo hice yo.

This expérience was amazing, I loved everything, the place , the people, the job. I really enjoyed every single part of it. The best first experience I could have. I will definitely come back, anyone who got to do their volunteer work here is very lucky. Thank you for everything I will never forget it

Volunteering in the hostel Experience was part of a challenge for myself, in order to grow personally and having to step out of my confort zone, now I can say I'm completely another person that the one that walked in the first day, I'm truly grateful for the people I met and the family that I made with all the staff and the travelers from around the world, I recommend this to anyone that wants to grow in all areas of their lives, gracias Arturo y gracias a todo el equipo de the hostel, volveré pronto!

Eu tive uma experiencia incrível nesse lugar. Me senti acolhida e confortavel desde o primeiro dia. O staff sempre me ajudou com o que eu precisava e tinham toda paciência para ensinar o trabalho, aprendi muitas coisas novas. As horas e dias livres foram respeitados, eles eram flexiveis quanto a isso. As instalações são muito confortaveis e o hotel é LINDO. Muito obrigada por essa experiencia ❤️

Hermosa experiencia!! Fue increíble todo!! Mi primer voluntariado y no pudo haber sido en un mejor lugar, es maravilloso! Me encanto y el equipo muy buena onda todos muy simpáticos, lograron que me sintiera como en casa, hice grandes amigos! Realmente vivir en una isla es genial !! Los atardeceres en el muelle, la tranquilidad, el hostel es un lugar que llegas y no te quieres ir más , definitivamente me encantaría volver. Estoy muy agradecida por todo el cariño y la buena onda que recibí por parte del equipo, lo recomiendo 100% me llevo muy lindos recuerdos y lindas amistades!

El hostel es un lugar hermoso, durante el voluntariado hubieron algunos detalles con los que no estuve de acuerdo, pero en general fue una excelente experiencia, el vivir en la isla ha sido la mejor opción!

Fue una experiencia increíble! El lugar es bellísimo, quedé enamorada de la vida en la isla. Estuve en un periodo del hostel en transición, con cambios de tareas y de habitación. Aún así, los acuerdos fueron respetados y siempre trabajé las horas acordadas. El equipo es genial, me sentí muy acogida y cómoda. Hice grandes amigos. Reciben muchos huéspedes de habla inglesa, por lo que pude practicar mucho mi inglés. Volvería sin dudas!

Mi experiencia en este lugar fue increíble! El lugar es maravilloso, rodeado de pura naturaleza y mucha tranquilidad. Los horarios de trabajo y días libres se respetaron, todo el equipo de trabajo me recibió muy bien y me sentí como en casa en todo momento. Mis expectativas de este lugar eran altas y termine superándolas por mucho! Conoces a muchas personas de diversos lugares, haces amigos nuevos y vives en una Isla soñada. En el hostel disfruté los mejores atardeceres desde el muelle, es uno de esos lugares de los que nunca te quieres ir y agradezco la oportunidad de pertenecer a esta familia.
