Dettagli del programma
Looking for girls who are ready to help every day with the care of our two little children, the management of our home and garden, during the move and the performance of other as needed.
Among these tasks, the ability to create and tend a small vegetable garden would be desirable, while any other skill – such as masonry, plumbing, painting, and similar – is welcome.
Part of the work will be carried out in collaboration with us, while some tasks will be entrusted exclusively to the volunteers.
We are looking for cheerful, eager-to-help, happy, sweet, and reliable girls with an open mind and a passion for working with children.
If you recognize yourself in this description and are ready to embark on this unique experience, contact us for a video call presentation and discover how you could become an integral part of our family.
Attività e turni
We require 6 hours of collaboration per day, to be carried out in the morning or afternoon according to needs, offered in exchange for hospitality with no additional compensation: our aim is to provide an experience of warm and familial exchange based on the mutual sharing of experiences and skills.
The volunteers will be hosted in a splendid, stately villa located about 30 minutes from Bologna, with room and board provided for a stay of at least one month.
We follow and offer a Mediterranean diet, with high culinary skills and occasionally with high-level preparations (when there is enough time to dedicate to it). Whenever possible, we love making pizza, bread, yogurt, jams, and preserves at home, as well as natural soap.
In your free time, you will have the opportunity to fully enjoy the outdoors: you can go trekking, practice sports, rent bicycles, and visit not only Bologna but also other art cities accessible by high-speed train.
The train station is a five-minute walk away.
For example, departing from Bologna, Florence can be reached in about 35 minutes, Venice in about one and a half hours, Verona and Milan in about one hour and 15 minutes, while Turin is comfortably reachable in about one and a half hours. Additionally, you will be able to explore a historic park, an archaeological park, and an archaeological museum, and savor authentic Italian cuisine – of which we are excellent interpreters.
Occasionally, there may be the opportunity to spend a few days in Naples, where you can independently arrange to discover a city rich in culture and history by visiting the ruins of Pompeii and Herculaneum, the enchanting islands of Capri, Ischia, and Procida, as well as the suggestive Amalfi and Sorrento coasts.
Regole
Now, let's discuss the house rules. In our home, we enjoy moving around comfortably and freely, and we offer the same opportunity when the children are asleep. We ask for cleanliness, order, respect for people, silence, and family rules. Do not host or invite strangers without our prior consent, do not smoke, do not abuse alcohol, and do not use or introduce prohibited substances. Inside the house, we speak softly, avoid loud noises, and walk without shoes, which should be left outside. Volunteers are expected to take utmost care of the family's belongings and the house, remaining responsible for any damages. It is not allowed to photograph, record, or make videos of people and things without our prior consent (especially minors). The use of mobile phones and other electronic devices should be limited to free time, without using ringtones (or with low volume) or other loud sounds. Also, keep your voice volume as low as possible. Before taking or using anything that belongs to us, it is necessary to ask for permission. Water, electricity, gas, and household resources (including food) should be used wisely, without excesses and waste. Help and free time schedules must be agreed upon in advance, prioritizing the needs of the house, children, and family. The house keys are exclusively our responsibility, so return times must be agreed upon and cannot be violated. For now, we do not accept pets, and unless otherwise agreed in advance, the villa's amenities are considered non-usable. Unless agreed upon in advance, all personal expenses not included in board and lodging are the responsibility of the volunteers, as well as travel expenses for arrival, departure, and various movements.
